Chlorine in pool was overpowering, bar was extremely expensive

Very clean and tidy

The hotel was clean and modern and had good facilities. The views from the bedroom were lovely. Our bedroom was well appointed, comfortable and clean. The beds were comfy. The addition of an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe was much appreciated. My daughter and I enjoyed using the pool facilities, which were also clean. The staff in the hotel and the spa were incredibly friendly.

There wasnt enough loungers for the guests in the pool area The breakfast although tasty not a lot of options at the 10.30am sitting we had to ask for ingredients to make a full Welsh breakfast The radiators didn't turn off in the room it was far too hot so had the windows wide open for the whole trip

The spa is so small, I expected it to be much grander given the price of the hotel. The room was an executive double, it was a very big room but not furnished very well. The lights in the room are like a hospital ward, far too bright. The view was a wall.

Spa is fab! Reception staff (Thomas) went above and beyond to accommodate after a small mishap with the original room we were allocated. Lovely bar area!

The pillows were a bit thin, so people may like that but I personally prefer big fluffy pillows. So this is only really a very minor gripe.

Staff were all very helpful and friendly. The food was nice, and it was a perfect location for visiting the castle.

The location was amazing quiet & peaceful had a very comfortable stay after long day travelling

The prices in the bar were very high and I felt the room rate was a little high for a room only with no breakfast.

Nice place with decent modern rooms and nice bathroom. Parking on site is also easy with a large car park

No doggy bowl or bed provided in the room as I have found in many other dog friendly hotels we have stayed in for a smaller nightly fee for the dog.

Lovely staff! Very welcoming and always go over and beyond to assist with any requests. My second stay at this hotel with my pooch. It is great that dogs are allowed access to all areas, including the bar and dining room, but not the spa.

We enjoyed ourselves, there wasn't anything to dislike.

Location and access to the Spa. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Cleanliness of corridors and the fact that even though dogs are allowed but you can’t really take them anywhere in the property neither leave them in the room to enjoy spa, so it kind of defeats the purpose of bringing your companions with you.

We did not appreciate the way that breakfast was served on the first morning . Or should I say thrown together, Service never came into it. It was a substandard mess. No food left in the servers, as children piling food onto plates, mainly bacon and sausage, standing in front of the the buffet bar spreading piles of bread, taking food back to the table, feeding the dog with it, standing at the juices drinking one glass of apple juice after another. We had to ask for it to be refilled before we could even get a glass. Also we had to an ask for food , to be cooked to replenish he server, and at least the “ cook “ brought us some from the kitchen to the table.. The cooked breakfast only consisted of egg, beans , bacon , and tomato certainly not worth £15 . Well done the staff the next day, you restored our faith in “ service “ and in what we had booked for.

The room was very acceptable , it was bright and pleasant, very quiet at night . We were so pleased with the accommodation that we have booked again as we have family in the vicinity.. the car parking was excellent, and we were accommodated on the ground floor as requested , overall a very pleasant experience. Great housekeeping service. The only thing that spoiled it, was breakfast on the first morning. As we had booked through Hotel .com we had to pay for breakfast at £15 each. And breakfast was a disaster…. There were serving 4 dishes, supposedly to contain sausage , bacon, beans, tomatoes. Eggs were provided as we. Entered the dining area… there was a table consisting of a family with children, who piled their plates so high with the food. there was none left for anyone else. They just kept taking it back to their table, staff seemed not to care. I did complain , as we had to wait for a replacement . They also had a dog with them that kept barking. We decided that we could not cope with this again on future visits. However, the next day breakfast was a complete turn around. We were served at the table and the breakfast was excellent. Just as we had hoped it would be… I did speak to someone on the desk as I felt cheated that I had paid £15 each for a totally substandard breakfast the day before….. our better experience convinced me to re book the hotel . For the following week. Please please, do not let us experience the mayhem of the first experience again . I regret having to pay anything for that experience again.

Comfy beds, relaxing spa

The room was really hot. Too warm. And the bathroom extractor fan didn’t work so this made the room hotter.

The walls of our room were not very soundproof I could hear next doors conversation and TV reasonably clearly
