our room was beautiful not in the main guest house, it was located in a little court yard at the back. it was beautiful inside everything you needed and the bed was to die for. breakfast was in Chester court guest house which belongs to lavender lodge soon to been named a Chester house. The owner Ray is a lovely gentleman who at the moment is juggling renovations to the properties and making sure all guest are kept well and have everything they need. We can’t wait to return next year and see all the new changes I personally think it will look amazing. Thank you Ray for a lovely stay at your place and your hospitality we loved it, you go up and beyond expectations which is very rare these days.

    Nothing really.

Room was a good size, warm and quiet. Plenty of parking and a great location, only a 15 minute walk to the centre of Chester.

A truly little "hidden gem", we stopped in the garden room which had all it's own facilities and use of it's own garden. Hosts were lovely and attentive. Facilities clean and everything catered for your needs. Located about 15 minutes from Chester but once you got your bearings not a problem. Breakfast was superb. Would definitely recommend and will be back again if we are ever in Chester again which is also a lovely place to visit. Many thanks.

Clean and tidy shower cubical very small kept knocking the tap when turning round, sink was also small, ok to wash hands but you would struggle to have a shave and be able to rinse your face.

The breakfast was good (full English) tea orange juice or coffee was available as in the room. The room was light and airy well decorated and the bed was very comfortable no noise from the traffic when the windows were closed. Some parking space at the front of the property but you could park on the road with no parking restrictions.

We thought the whole experience of our stay here was excellent. Wonderful breakfast and service. Nothing was too much trouble for our host including providing a gluten free meal for my wife. The standard of furnishings were exceptional and everything was pristine. Would certainly recommend.

The breakfast only has one choice - English breakfast. I think they forgot to tell me the wifi password. As I wasn't sure they're supposed to provide wifi, I ended up using my own internet. The location is not too far from the city centre, but the way to there is not too nice for walking. You have to walk over a narrow bridge which car drivers don't seem to care about getting close to pedetrians! There are buses nearby, but their service are not that frequent.

The room is very clean, cosy, and private. We had a separate entrance from the main house. (It felt like we have our own cottage.) All amenities were fully provided - coffee, tea, biscuits, toiletries, although the hairdryer didn't really work. You can tell they use good quality ones, especially the fan. Spacious bathroom with modern equipments comparing to average B&B in the UK. The lighting in the room is cosy - love the tiffany lamps! The garden in front of our cottage is very lovely for outdoor seating. The breakfast lounge is beautifully decorated, so do all the dining sets. Federica, the host, was friendly and professional.

It was a lovely, clean and homely guest house situated in Hoole a 20 min stroll from the centre. Just 5 mins from the accommodation were some fantastic pubs and restaurants. Breakfast was superb, I am not a cooked breakfast fan but had fresh berries with yoghurt and muesli. The host was so helpful and friendly.
