    Overpriced central hotel.

Tv in room was tiny with basic Chanels very dated.. Bedding stacked at the foot of the stairs, messy. Breakfast was ok, full English had 1/2 mushroom and 1/2 a slice of black pudding one sausage and a small piece of bacon. Very stingy. The hotel car park is challenging need to make customers aware of the tight entrance. A very overpriced stay in a lovely town.

The bathroom was small and a bit cramped., but I imagine that is hard to avoid in such an old building. Parking in the car park opposite was easy but surprisingly expensive for a simple overnight stay- not the fault of the hotel of course, but something to bear in mind when costing up the trip.

I had a great stay, with pleasant staff, excellent food and a very comfortable bed. I paticularly liked having non-synthetic pillows and duvet! The hotel was very well-placed for my work the following day.

Turn in to car park is very tight, but once you are in all is fine. Needed a tea towel and a sponge/cloth in the kitchen to wipe after use. Toiletries in one of the bedrooms were missing.

Fabulous central location. We stayed in the stables which was perfect for my Mother and I. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds and good pillows, quilts and towels. Loved the upside down aspect. Both tapas bar and main restaurant were extremely good, tapas bar probably got my vote as it was less formal. Didn't have breakfast as we got some baked goods from the bakers across the road. We will definitely return.

Got my bill wrong, tried to remove us after day one as they thought I was only staying one night. Breakfast on day one they bought a cold pot of tea thought the experience on day two was much improved. Noisy street outside and in the property.

Excellent Location, good restaurant. Fabulous evening meal.

It's quite close to a main road and so there's a lot of street noise - although the hotel do provide ear plugs. Black out blinds in the bedrooms would be a huge improvement

We stayed in the Stables. It was a lovely space and really well appointed, particularly in the little kitchen area. The staff were all fantastic. We'd definitely stay again.

The problem with being central is the noise from the road, which was disturbing through the night (ear plugs needed). The double beds are also on the small side.

A lovely, quirky little hotel right in the heart of Shrewsbury, with views over the river and the historic bridge. Food for dinner and breakfast was excellent and the staff were good.

The carpark was very cramped especially at weekend, and very narrow drive into the carpark, if you’re not a confident driver I would avoid unless you have a small car

Perfect location for exploring town, comfortable clean rooms.
