staff in black sheep was clueless about what was offered in hotel. they would not let anyone check inn till exactly 3pm which then led to a que for check inn. went up 10 min early but was adamant it had to be 3pm. even at 3pm they said no until she realised it was 3pm. it is in a industrial estate really for business use not weekend break.

Breakfast was very basic and no options for food allergies. Not worth paying extra for. The atmosphere or vibe wasn't welcoming. I felt it wasn't worth the price just for location.

Food in the adjacent Black Sheep is very good but there is a limited menu which is heavy on the burger and chips type options. Maybe a greater choice and some variations?

Very clean, comfortable, well appointed room which was well serviced. Very well appointed en suite, plenty of good towels and an excellent shower. Very convenient, for me, location.

Having to wait too long to be checked in. It seemed a bit chaotic. My room key card not working on the second day - so I had to go to the Aztec Hotel to get a new one. I had used the phone in the corridor (someone else let me in the main door) but no answer. I used my own phone to contact the number. No answer. It was about 2115 and as a lone, older, female I was beginning to wonder what I should do. Room not being serviced on the second day. The housekeeper came to ask if I needed anything (towels, tea etc) and brought me what I said but when I got back in the evening the room had not been serviced. I think that, although it was at the time of the Bristol Balloon Festival so perhaps the price was increased, the price I paid for the room was not reflected in the service.

Very comfortable bed, nicely appointed room, clean, good bathroom, quiet, felt safe, free or low cost parking, easy access.

No real breakfast package option on site. “Per item” basis of buying food and hot drinks, either in the Black Sheep or Aztec Bistro, clearly the way to enhance profit on a no frills accommodation deal.

Very modern, clean and practical. Good location. Staff very efficient. Rooms have everything you need and all worked.

Staff in the Black Sheep sometimes rather slow in clearing and cleaning vacated tables and the constant piped music could be intrusive.

Staff friendly and attentive. Very clean throughout. Excellent en suite, particularly the shower. Quiet environment, spacious and comfortable room.

Pillows awful. Aztec had a huge wedding on a Sunday night with loud music until 1am. Could hear it from the other hotel and was a very humid night so couldn't keep windows open. Fan in room too loud to keep on. Restless sleep prior to medical procedure.

The pub was not good value for money. It was very expensive and small portions. The breakfast was also not great with only a bacon bap offered with some croissants and cereal. No fresh fruit or fried breakfast offered.

The rooms are really nice, clean and quiet.

If I had to nitpick, a toilet brush would have helped. And a couple of biscuits with the morning tea please.

The bed and bedding was so very comfortable! I had traveled to Bristol for the Balloon fiesta and they did not fly on Saturday. Therefore I planned to go on Sunday morning as I’d paid for the parking. But knowing how uncertain these flights are I preferred to sleep in! Oh boy was it comfy ! The gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and polite! All in all, a lovely place to stay, very clean and comfy. Thank you very much!

Check in was greeted by a "Karen" who was keen not to be pleasant or helpful, to find out that check in was in a different location, from our last visit and somehow, i should've known this??!!??!! and then, check in at this different venue was marred by a computer glitch and a faulty card machine and the venue doesn't take cash!! ...you couldn't write it! Other than that, mostly due to no need for human interaction, the weekend was perfect

Quality of cleanliness. There was a problem with the bathroom fan as it wasnt wirking and i could see mould and fluff build up in it.

Clean and well equipped room. The weather was hot but a fan was available in the room. The shower room was great with a powerful and hot shower which maintained power and temperature during use. Adjoining pub/reception also clean, tidy and welcoming with assistance available if needed
