The hotel didn't accommodate us for dinner, we had to eat out. You should prioritise guests for eating at the hotel first. Also the room key kept failing to work so we had to keep going back to reception. The bar area is very poor for such a big hotel.

We were in a room directly above an event/function and our relaxing evening was slightly ruined by the loud music and noise. We would have appreciated being told about this in advance or put in a different room.

Needs to be updated. Room looked over the bins which we understand can happen but there was rubbish all around the bins

We expected this fine old building to be as beautiful inside but it was very bright, with lots of chrome and a neon colour scheme. The bar area was loud and echoey with no ambience and not very relaxing. Breakfast was basic. the grounds were lovely but hard to know where to walk without fear of being hit by a golf ball - it would be good to identify some safe walking routes. I think this is a functional hotel for golf, health club members and corporate events but not for a romantic couples night away!

The room was in what felt like a basement, below ground level which made it dark. The room itself was fine with all the usual facilities.

Electrics we're faulty in our room. Shower wasn't very powerful. 2nd room was dusty. Shower was better in this room. Hot tub in spa area not very hot, tiles fallen off, very run down. Water was low.

Sauna wasn't working. Having to book the gym and the process was quite long. It would also be nice if some of the treatment spots were reserved for guests rather than having to book them separately.

Jacuzzi, breakfast, bedrooms were nice and modern.

The breakfast was pricey with no option of a continental. £13:00 is dear if you just want a piece of toast or a croissant with a coffee for breakfast. you have no alternative, as there nowhere nearby. ( I think the hotel knows this)

The Room was ok, but the staff were fantastic and couldn't have done more for us, especially Tina who gave us really good with her advice about trips in the surrounding area.

Hard to find the location after dark unless you know where is the exact entrance, absolutely no illumination of any kind at the entrance gates . Is 100% recommended to have a car or rent one , taxi service can be unreliable, somewhat understandable giving the semi-remote location.

The heating and also the bed, were 2 single beds put together, wasn't ideal. I would have preferred a double bed.

The heating set up within the room was a letdown. I contacted reception, during the first night, to complain about the low heating felt throughout the room. The hotel sent a staff member to the room. But the heating wasn't warm enough overall.

The bed was suppose to be double. It two singles with hard join in middle not very romantic at all. Lots of water sounds all night.
