How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Window mechanism too complex to open! Bathroom somewhat small and bath difficult to access. Biggest issue is the closure of Humphrey's bar at 11........ would have liked to used this facility for longer after we returned from concert but instead we were rushed to finish our drinks.
Club room was a good size. Breakfast was extensive and not rushed. Free water appreciated. walkable distance to Albert Hall.

WiFi access private room ONLY worked for Android or Apple devices. Unable to connect Amazon tablet and Nintendo switch. The hotel sent us a tech guy which was not able to fix the issue. There was an unlocked utility door with access to cavity of the wall and all various pipes. Not the highest safety standards we would expect.
Hotel location is very handy. Hotel was clean and staff polite.

The room was unclean. There were paint like stains on the tiles in the bathroom. The carpet looked unvaccuumed. The sink didn't drain properly. We were advised we had been upgraded to a room with a larger bed. Was still only a queen size bed and there was no couch or chairs.
The staff were friendly.

Most of the plug sockets didn't work. Couldn't charge phone on bedside table or have 2 of the lamps on. Bathroom radiator didn't work. Bathroom door hook was missing as was door stop. Maintenance crew came in at 9 am to fix I'm not sure what because nothing was fixed, whilst we were still in bed which was a bit strange

There was no refill of shampoo & skincare lotions during the stay. Fresh water bottles would have been nice. The fridge was a bit noisy from time to time.
The location was perfect for us, very close to transportations. The breakfast was near perfect. The hotel is clean and neat.

The hotel is quite dated. Our room had a drafty window which we told reception about and they tried to fix it but didn't work. Also, housekeeping needs to brush up on their standards and regular checks.
Great location and good hotel. Staff are friendly and happy to help. Very close to amenities and shops and a few minutes to the tube.

The Pub dining area was pleasant. The food was average. I had Spaghetti Bolognese. The spaghetti was only lukewarm and there was not enough sauce which was also lukewarm . No parmesan was offered. Coffee tasted disgusting, too strong, a third of it was froth on a Flat white coffee.
The Hotel lobby is very nice. Bedroom was clean and roomy Parking area good, felt safe.

There was a lack of electrical sockets in the room, and there was no socket in the bathroom. The tub in the bathroom was extremely deep, and people over 60 should be informed of that when they're reserving a room. Also, the bathroom in our room certainly needed a renovation because the floor tiles and the vanity were old.
Since the hotel was a block away from the London Underground, its location of the hotel is perfect for getting around the city. There was a wide variety of selections for breakfast, and food was quickly replenished when it ran out. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Our room was near the elevators, but we did not hear them or the guests who were getting on or off them. The men at the concierge desk were very helpful when we asked for directions or needed a cab. The staff were very welcoming and very courteous.
