Inside! Room had a creaky bathroom door, we got locked few times. No proper toiletries in the bathroom, i had to ask for a shower gel and shampoo. Phone was poorly attended. Room was not very clean.

- The fitness centre is excellent, but you have to pay extra, even as a guest. Even for just pre 10am and post 5pm. What nonsense; and such a lost opportunity to engage any resident. - Pretty average service in the bars and restaurants. Soft drink choices were very average too. There is so much that they could have offered, but their range of choices was weak at best. - My room was not cleaned/made up on the second night. I was offered a discount, but only once I asked, which I had to do in person as the phone in my room was also broken. It turns out that daily room cleaning is by request, not a standard. Really? No information to explain this was evident; and the reception staff did not know this either. - My room was fine, but tired. - EV chargers did not all work and were used by people parking and not charging. Only 3 too.

Friendly staff at reception. Common areas were decorated reasonably. Grounds were presented pretty well.

Bathroom in rooms given the price were outdated and shabby, seal on shower was filthy and I mean never been cleaned, when toilet flushed every time made a tremendously loud echoing through the pipework that I can only explain sounded like a ships horn so woke up the room and I’m sure others next door. House keeping was not as attentive as other properties I have stayed in bed was quickly made to poor standard and looked slept in as I arrived back from work each evening.

I liked the general areas, including bars etc staff were exceptional.

There was little to no phone signal in the bed rooms so had to use the free WiFi. The price of the room was ok, however the price of drinks behind the bar were unbelievably over priced.

The room was spacious, airy, comfortable & clean. The venue as a whole is beautiful.

Was fairly loud throughout the night. People emptying glasses in a bin in the middle of the night, Quite a lot of banging, and room was really warm even when radiators werent on.

Golf course was really good also spa.

Staff in spa could have been more helpful. Payment method with the piece of cardboard they give you is just confusing as I was told to use it everywhere when getting food/drinks but at the champagne bar, barneys and the spa nobody wanted it.

Breakfast was extra at £15. Staff were a bit caotic as they they were not given proper orders . So we had to actually ask for things. No explanation was given what the order was . Spa and swimming pool extra . Room was not cleaned. I ask why and reception staff said it wasn’t cleaned until 5pm however they still didn’t turn up so i had to go and look for the maid. Room was small

Housekeeping was poor in bar area. Dirty dishes. Dust on tables/ skirtings. Glass table filthy. Dinner service was poor. Meal cooked incorrectly. Sent back. Eventually came after my wife had eaten hers! 20% deducted in my burger but not told that until I saw on bill. Hardly a quality service!!

Children in the spa area. It was cold at times. Booked a meal and the restaurant was not even open!! No one bothered to contact us to inform of us of this and room service options are minimal and overpriced. More attention to detail in the spa changing facilities lots of dirty towels lying around.

Beautiful spa facilities however, it was very noisy with children playing in the pools so not much relaxation in terms of peace and tranquility. The rooms appear to have been updated however, a few more attention to detail in the bathroom in regards to cleaning of the skirting boards.

Spa was booked up for every day we went, only went for the spa facilities and didn’t even get to experience them. Got told to keep trying incase of a cancellation but nothing. not the hotels fault but how can’t you aquire for all hotel guests? was trying from the moment we arrived till the moment we left as we had traveled mainly for the spa. I got told just pay when yo u get there as it costs £15 on arrival but what’s the point when you can’t use it? Do feel like it was a slight waste of money and petrol. Room was also not throughly cleaned. the outside of the wardrobe had something spilt all down it. Also thought Staff seemed quite stand off ish, at first i put it down to the fact we were young guests (17&18) but ether way didn’t get made to feel welcome. One women at reception was lovely didn’t get her name but she had vivian westwood jewellery on and light brown or blonde hair.

The bed was comfy and had a lot or car parking spots.

One of the two cups you get for coffee/tea was still dirty, the spoon was stuck to the bottom of the cup from the last person who had tea. For the money you spend you wouldn't expect that. The spa was shut for the day we spent there however it could be that the spa shuts on that day every week but we were told it was shut and they didn't give a reason as to why. On the website it also says dinner was at 6:30 so we went down a bit early to get a seat to find out it was a buffet and that it would be served at 7. We just went out for food instead of eating at the hotel. We stayed in a cheaper hotel for 2 days after here and I'd say it was a lot better than this, especially for the price we paid. In addition I booked for two adults on Booking.com. On the website it said I paid for one adult so I asked at reception if that was correct and he said I only booked for one adult. He charged me an extra £20 but I don't know what for. We checked in right after this, found two towels, two hand towels and two cups so I must have booked for two people as everything in the room was for two people. Breakfast nor dinner was not included in the price so I don't know why he charged me an extra £20 pound. Originally the price was £160 but ended up paying £180. I won't be going back again.

The room itself was okay but nothing to write home about; for what was paid it was small and a little shabby around the edges. Cracked tiles and chipped mirror in the bathroom for example. I’ve stayed in much nicer rooms. Sleep was disturbed numerous times in the morning due to the maintenance/service carts that were pulling up under the window and the noise from that.

The hotel is lovely and with pretty grounds. Staff were all very pleasant.

There was a wedding on so we were unable to use the bar. We were there as a group of friends for just one night so a little disappointing. My room very small and dated.

Dinner in Barneys first night was fine. Second night, we sat in there for 30 mins until another customer told us it was closed! There was no sign, no one around, all the lights and fire was on. We then went back to the Carrington Grill which was a bit above our work budget. Breakfast was ok, I had to ask for teaspoons, milk and water.

Didn't use any facilities so cannot comment.

Kept awake until 3.30 in morning with a party next door, we complained but nothing was done. Told staff numerous times it was for my girlfriends birthday but noone acknowledged her at all. Really disappointed really.

Requested managaer to call back and nothing. Token window in the bedroom, making it cold. Called to reception and no answer for 20mins. Breakfast waiting was around 45 mins. Wrong food arrived. Would not stay again.
