Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWhen we arrived after a long journey from Cardiff, we were very kindly given a room upgrade to Executive room. Anyone would be right to think that that would imply that the room & facilities in the room would be much improved from the room I booked. Unfortunately it wasn’t and I wished I’d declined the upgrade as the room I booked originally was much better. The bathroom in the executive room was tiny and the toilet was seperate to the bathroom, in what I can only describe as a ‘broom cupboard’ I’m not exaggerating, you literally couldn’t go in & then shut the door behind you!!! Really disappointing, as nice as the gesture was to upgrade us, I wish it hadn’t been offered, the room definitely wasn’t worth the money I originally spent on the booking.
Location was perfect for the event we were attending at the Excel, staff, facilities & food were all great. I booked a standard room with Queen size bed for 3 nights was looking forward to the good size bathroom & room.

Separate toilet which was right next to entrance and in a small, dark cubby hole with very little room, no ventilation nor cleaning products (brush, air freshener, etc.). Entrance to room really tight on space with hardly any room for hanging clothing. Lighting in room rather limited.
Location to ExCeL arena was excellent. Breakfast buffet hot and cold - excellent food quality and constantly replenished. Evening meal - excellent quality produce and value for money. Room - bed really comfy and no noise interruptions. Plenty of plug sockets. Particular shout out to staff members Klea and Jackson who provided excellent service with food and drinks.

The hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. The room was very comfortable and the hotel had a nice view. Transportation is easy, perfect if you are travelling for work because of the location (near London Excel)

The hotel is very convenient for attending conferences and conventions at the ExCeL London exhibition center. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance and it is a short walk to hop on public transit. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and my room was very spacious.

IcelandRoom service cleaning was quite poor. They arrived late in the afternoon, or not at all. We had no WC paper after the first cleaning and after 3 calls to reception and 10-11 hours they finally reacted.
Room spacious and beds very comfortable. Staff friendly and good atmosphere overall. Very close to train station and the Excel conference center.
