The chalets are quite tired - taps leak and no glass plate in the microwave making it unusable. It was also a bit smelly due to having a carpet and a leaking tap. It did air and improve easily. The bed was quite uncomfortable.

We use this venue as a good location to visit family, go walking and cycling from. The beach is lovely- sandy and quiet. It's a bit like camping in a solid hut.

No wifi in the chalets is really not reasonable in this day and age, not when the local mobile reception is barely passable.

Bed was acceptably comfortable. Food was decent and plentiful. Good transport links to nearby towns and the beach (or what I saw of it) was lovely.

As its a holiday village the facilities were not open to me as when i returned from work they were not available and the room was a bit dated

This accommodation offered dinner as well, its a little way out from the shops so it worked well. the room had a fridge and microwave so all good for the room.

My booking has not gone through on their system, so I had to pay £50 deposit in cash. I had to use there cash machine and was charged £1.80 to get the cash. Then had to change my plans for the Monday, so that I could go to reception and reclaim my money. Not a staff problem, a system one that needs sorting. No bedding in room on arrival, and guests in next door room were using my power sockets.

Choice of food reduced if you did not get to the dining hall at the start of each session.

This was our second time at Pakefield. After finding the reception staff abrupt the last time, we were hoping for an improvement. After travelling 3 hours, on arrival, we were told that we had only booked one chalet and not two. I frantically found my booking information to confirm that two were booked and paid for so after a wait, they gave us two chalets. For the first time, we went to the entertainments bar at lunchtime. First day was a quiz, which was good. 2nd day was a game show called Blankety Blue. This turned out to be an excuse for 4 Blue Coats to repeatedly shout out t*ts and b*ll*cks in answer to the questions. We left. The food is ok and what you would expect for a canteen style service (think 1980's holiday camp). The bacon at breakfast is either undercooked or like shoe leather depending on how long it has been on the hot plate. Day 3 breakfast was much better and we asked if there was a different chef on duty. They said, 'Yes, can you tell?'. One evening, there was maple honey salmon on the evening menu which we were looking forward to. The fish was so overcooked it was white! Good job that jacket potatoes are always on the menu with a salad bar. We will go again as the location suits our needs and the chalets are ok. It is a budget break and I suppose you get what you pay for.

The chalets are warm and clean and ideal for a budget stay.

The worst thing would be that those lights situated on apartments shined through all night , they need black out curtains at very least.

Been here many times, entertainment was brilliant.
