There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like

We had a ground floor room which was bright and cheerful. However there were no drinking glasses in the room. And we found the duvet a bit heavy but everything was very clean and tidy.

Wanted to change £12 for a glass of house red. The answer was a flat NO.

Ideal for work location but not a very salubrious area.

The corridors and carpets are very dated, and there was a small amount of mould on the ceiling above the shower top left. However everything else was above and beyond for us, couldn’t have asked for anything better.

The restaurant was cute and comfortable, very aesthetic. And the blossom trees really made it beautiful

Dinner menu is a 'bit spicy' but wholesome. Lack of reception Check-in and check out rather soulless

Room - well above expectations. A grab handle by the shower would be helpful and the shower was temperamental but generally very well equipped. Breakfast - decent buffet very reasonable price Bar - good range of dinks - wine and beer Staff - generally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable

A lovely hotel with very nice staff and comfortable rooms. Good place to stay. The pub is also very nice with a big garden and lovely food!

The rooms are looking tired and in need of some tlc and could do with soundproofing to allow a sound night's sleep.

Breakfast was a delight, the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful.

Dinner was a little disappointing, steak pie and trimmings but on the small size for the money. Tasted good though.

Although I booked a single room I especially wanted a bath. My room was large with a massive bed and a bath! Staff were welcoming and friendly. I felt very comfortable from the moment I arrived.

The bath plug was had to call staff to get it out - I do not have a bath at home & it's a key part of my stay. I could not empty the bath as plug got stuck again. At breakfast there was no saucers, teaspoons or butter out so had to keep asking for things, coffee was just about warm. Whilst having my breakfast housekeeper walked through dining room dragging the hoover, not sure what that was about..

I have stayed a number of times at this hotel, I like the location, staff are friendly & helpful & it's comfortable.

Floor in bedroom has a noticeable bip when walked over . Missing bathroom mirror asking reception about it missing and was told one was ordered but we stayed 2 weeks and there was no replacement in that time, was an inconvenience for husband to shave etc.

Room was cold with lots of condensation on the windows. There was a plug in heater in the bedroom. It was a shame the heated towel rail did not work. Still good value for money though.

Very comfy bed, exceptional friendly staff. Nice bath. Even meal was nice. Staff were happy to change breakfast items for me.

Only one negative in that the shower control was a little old fashioned and was a little loose. Had to be careful not to touch it once it was set.

The Hotel is perfectly located for Eurotunnel (only about 20 minutes by car). On arrival, found that my room had been upgraded to a double at no extra cost. It was tidy, and clean with a view over looking a locql park. Breakfast was as expected and in the morning prior to departure was able to give my dog a good walk before crossing to France

The room had some maintenance issues - the shower head leaked, the blind in the small bedroom didn't open and the jacuzzi was a write off

The staff were excellent - very friendly and very attentive. When the kitchen was unexpectedly unavailable, they helped us organise alternative dinner and were flexible in where we ate.

Condensation from the skylight sometimes drips cold water on you in the bathroom but that's more of a niggle than anything else

Staff were exceptional as was the food. A live band played on our last night and they were very good too
