Shower and bathrooms could do with updating ours was a little small but it was serviceable.

As we had an early get up we were unable to have breakfast but the owners did provide us with some items to take away with us which was nice of them

Minor point. Perhaps we missed the information when making the on-line booking, but the bar and dining facilities are closed in the evenings on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Very good and characterful accommodation. Extremely comfortable bed. Staff all friendly and helpful. Dining facilities and food all to a very high standard (but see note below). A most relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Friendly staff, large room, really great food (good choice for breakfast and dinner), dog friendly, plenty of parking, reasonably priced with great views from our room at the front. We would stay here again. Quiet location a few miles outside Hereford - good base to visit locations nearby.

Bathroom had cobwebs, the rest of the room was okay and furniture was a bit dated. The inn from the outside gave it the appearance that it was not open, the sign could have been a bit more welcoming and the pots at the front were full of weeds which weren't very inviting. A bit of tlc and this could be a really lovely place to stay.

Very comfortable bed, large quiet room (this was requested). The food was very good with plenty of choice. A comfortable place to stay with very pleasant staff. The inn was spacious so you didn't feel on top of each other.

ensuite shower room was very basic but functional, considering the price we paid for the stay it was as we expected. My room was quite small but my friends were in larger rooms for the same price.

As it was the middle of a heatwave (32c) it would have been appreciated if an electric fan had been in the bedroom. I’m sure if I had asked though it could have been provided.

The Breakfast’s were very good with a good choice of options. All the staff were lovely and friendly at all times. The evening meals offered were excellent, good value and catered for all tastes. The location was ideal for me as I wanted to visit nearby towns and beauty spots.

Unable to check-in until 4pm and the property looked tired and unkept from the outside but we were pleasantly surprised how appealing it was once inside.

The uneven floor in the bedroom resulted in the bed sloping interestingly. I found the mattress a bit soft for my injured hip but I expect many guests would disagree with me. Other guests smoking and talking loudly for prolonged periodsunder my bedroom window which because of the hot weather I had wide open. With the window shut this nuisance and noise from traffic was greatly reduced. WiFi signal in bedroom and public areas weak and intermittent.

Staff were attentive and friendly. Considering that the hotel is recovering from lockdown and only open for part of the week. The choice of food was very good. The dinner was made with fresh ingredients and well presented. Although I didn't ask specifically I felt confident that any dietary requirements would have been accommodated. Two fairly local draught beers were available . A locally made cider would have been welcomed but perhaps this will appear once business picks up .
