Staff were very good, friendly and helpful. Hotel put on a coach to the races for a reasonable cost saved trying to get taxi’s. Food was very good as well.

A little dark.

Clean, comfortable and nicely renovated. Walking distance to market place and cathedral. Good dinner in bar and fantastic breakfast.

I think the budget ran out for a decent lift. It should have a bed/couch installed in it, it takes that long to travel one floor. Not a great experience, especially at peak check-in/out times. Lugging cases upstairs is not a great experience especially if you have health issues.

Superb breakfast in both selection and quality of produce. Lounge and restaurant areas are lovely with an extensive patio and garden. The room was spacious but a little warm, thankfully the window could be opened.

There was a very large group staying at the same time, which meant we had to wait for our food on the first night, and couldn’t get a table for breakfast on the next morning. The car parking is limited so we didn’t dare go out in the car in case we couldn’t park on our return.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty. Location was ideal for walking into Ripon.

Unfortunately, the ale bar wasn't open. No dark ale other than Guinness.

Nice rooms, parking,location, breakfast. We have stayed before when just opened and the breakfast this time was better organised and very good. Will come again.

The breakfast could be improved

The room was lovely and the garden view also . The location was perfect for us and parking was just what we needed as we went to the races the following day. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

The check in and check out process wasn’t great. The location of reception is in the bar area. We checked in in the evening and it was so loud, felt like I was in a bar and not the reception of a hotel. Also when leaving the guy just told me to leave the key on the side, not even a “how was your stay?” No interest

Wi-fi was a bit iffy terms of connectivity and there seemed to be a lack of recognition that it's one of the most important things on a trip these days - especially for business travellers. Other than that, hotel exceeded my expectations. It's very clean and the rooms seem to be very good.

Room was great - with a lovely view out of the back off the property where there are lawns and a bit of scenery to remind you you're out of the city. It takes about five mins to walk in to the centre of the town - and Ripon is generally very walkable and has some nice restaurants. They're very relaxed about the parking too. Breakfast was amazing - they passed the Poached Egg Test with flying colours.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff friendly, considerate and helpful. The hotel had a genuinely happy atmosphere. Lovely surroundings and very central for walking to museums and attractions.

The position of the TV to one side of the bed made viewing difficult and the lack of a power socket in the bathroom was a bit of a problem

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Ripon Inn. It has obviously recently been refurbished, and to a very high standard. All areas of the hotel have been beautifully and tastefully decorated, including the bar areas, restuarants and bedrooms. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast (buffet style) was tasty and the staff were all very happy and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in Ripon!

It was a little too warm in the inn and bedrooms

Ideal location, the rooms were large and very clean, the beds so comfy. Breakfast was buffet style, nice food and plenty of choice
