Darwin’s townhouse was so clean, beautiful, and spacious. It was close to a walking trail as well as restaurants. The breakfasts were out of this world! I will miss that the most!

Everything about the hotel and staff was excellent, from the friendly welcome at check in to the time of departure we were made to feel welcome by the friendly and most helpful staff. The room was clean, comfortable with everything needed for our stay. The breakfast was superb, totally spoilt for choice.

Surprisingly hot the weekend I visited, one room's sash window only opened a tiny bit. This did not bother me and I swapped my originally assigned room (with a wider window) for this room (it had a better bathroom anyway). However, just be aware that if you love sleeping in a fridge-like air con room, this may not agree with you.

So happy I booked Darwin's Townhouse not only is a beautiful hotel but the staff are amazing! The rooms are all different, we booked 5 standard double rooms and only one had what you might maybe think is a "small" bathroom. I would certainly stay here again I thought it was great value for money and in an excellent spot with car park nearby. My room was facing the street outside and it was quiet being pedestrian only. Two of the rooms were garden facing and if I was to visit again I would get a garden room. Breakfast was £15 and there was a mix of buffet and menu items in that price, so pretty standard pricing. The honesty bar and communal garden/areas were lovely. Such a good job by the owners.

The breakfast was outstanding: it arrived quickly, well prepared, and tailored to my request. The home-made jams and jellies were very special and the staff were charming and very attentive. All in all I would recommend it highly and I will return to stay there on my future trips to Shrewsbury

Room 9 one of only 2 twin rooms - it was lovely- 2 flights of steep stairs to get there not so much .

This is a favourite . Near the river and lovely restaurants and shops away from typical high street. Loopy Shrew offers a discount- great restaurant.

There was nothing not to like.

It was lovely. Historic without seeming old. It was central to the town and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Every room was unique and filled with interesting pieces.

Although it was very close to the car park, it would have been nice for no charges as I would say the room was on the higher rate than what I would normally pay.

Room was lovely, had a complimentary upgrade to a larger room. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice. Location was brilliant, central for everything and close to shops and tourist attractions Had an honesty bar which was fully stocked with everything from wine, beer, spirits and snacks.

Stunning room in very quirky townhouse. Lovely staff and a delicious breakfast. Great location in the centre of town and inexpensive overnight public parking less than a minute's walk away.
