There was one chef in the morning and all the rooms had come down for breakfast at the same time. The wait staff were very busy making sure we all got our breakfasts but there definitely needed to be more people in the kitchen, or maybe have two sittings for breakfast if the kitchen can’t serve everyone promptly when the pub is fully booked.

Loved the location, the room was nice but a little small. The bath was amazing! A good, clean & quiet room. Great to stay for proximity to the town, and the pub itself was very cute and cosy. The staff were all lovely and friendly and professional.

The beds were okay — the mattress was a little hard and I didn’t like the poly filled pillows and sheets, but it was a very large bed. We were warned that the service at breakfast wasn’t going to be optimal due to staffing issues (probably COVID/Brexit related) and unfortunately, the 2 servers next morning were extremely busy and served 3 tables that has arrive after us before they acknowledge ld we were seated.

The Snooty Fox is well-located within the village of Tetbury and offer very good value for an overnight stay. The host was pretty friendly and showed us up to our generally clean and spacious bedroom. Also the water pressure was fabulous (if you were thinking of filling up a bath quickly).

There's a bit of traffic noise at the front of the hotel, so our earplugs came in handy. Popped them in and slept like lambs. Breakfast service was a bit chaotic, but I think that's the same everywhere at the moment with the pingdemic and covid isolations.

Big room, lovely four poster bed. Breakfast was excellent. Lovely soak in the bath upon arrival. Friendly staff.

When we arrived there was a man in a cap sitting at the booking desk. He just ignored us? Eventually he got up and left and then another person welcomed us. It was a bit odd.

We loved the location and the room, although at the front of the hotel, was quiet. Great view, gorgeous deep bath. Very comfy beds. Great food, although the dinner menu was a bit limited and there was only one vegetarian choice. Breakfast as delicious with lots of variety.

Your evening menu could be a little more adventurous, and may be a lift.

Every thing about our stay was great, our room no 12 as I understand is going to be refurbished and if it is anything like all the other rooms (we were most impressed ) your hotel will be up among some of the best rooms to stay.keep the good work up and we will be back R&R Charlton.

The breakfast was very disappointing although it stated continental breakfast toast and cereal does not constitute a continental breakfast there was no fresh fruit cold meats cheese etc the full English wasn't really up to our standard the quality of the ingredients was very poor especially the sausages and the portion of kippers were not good.

    Location very good

Although the wondows were huge, none could be opened except for a one sash unit, which was limited to a gap of around 6 inches due to H&S issues around the drop to the street below. That meant no proper air circulation on one of the hottest nights of 2021. Would suggest a good floor fan be left in the room in summer, as we fully understand the limitations of ventilating a historic building. I guess the refurbushment included the fitting of a spa bath, as it looked pretty new. However it was moulded from thin plastic and sagged alarmingly when we stood in it to shower. And there was no grab handle or soap tray set high for people wanting to shower rather than take a bath, though this is something we encounter quite often.

This is a nice hotel sitting over a decent pub, right in the middle of town on the market square. Could not be better. We were able to park on the street for free just 100 meters away. The room had been newly refurbished in shades of green and was immaculate. Breakfast was excellent (fried bread on offer!). With a decent menu available on the premises, and two pints of good ale beforehand there was no incentive to venture anywhere else. And credit to the staff member who seated us in a quiet and cool annexe to the dining room, rather than the crowded and warm main dining area (after a 31celsius day). The staff were all cheerful and welcoming. Recommended.
