I can’t think of a single thing.

The hotel was clean and spacious, seemed well maintained, but I think what always makes my hotel experiences a pleasure, are the well turned out and polite staff.

I could hear my neighbour from our room 😔 the only downside was this , especially when paying the price we did , didn’t want to hear someone else’s conversation. The bath was a little dirty but nothing I couldn’t away wash myself .

Upon entry the hotel was beautiful, apart from the smell of stale beer, Rooms were dated, not the best in terms of cleanliness, stained carpets, walls stained with what appeared to be coffee stains, pillows ( under the cases) full of knotted hair clumps….no pillow protectors. (Room 175) Breakfast looked like it had been out since 6am and wasn’t fresh.

Room key took two visits to Reception and a dismantle of the mechanism before working. No toilet rolls in the bathroom.

The outside of the building was scruffy - cigarette butts and ashtrays full around side and back of the hotel. Seats in the bar area quite worn in places.

the beds where not comfortable, and the rooms a little dated, the TV in the room didn't work, so a little disappointed.

The breakfast was first class, with a good variety on offer and cooked fresh, the restaurant was very clean and well organised.

Cold pool, cold jacuzzi, too many people coming in sauna (a sign with how many allowed is clearly needed), no dressing gowns and watered down wine for a welcome drink!!

Good location, very convenient for what we needed and we were easily able to walk to the shops, the castle and explore. Facilities were very good and overall the staff were all very helpful and friendly. Room was totally fine for our needs and bathrooms very good. No complaints at all. Would definitely stay again.

Our heating was broken in our first room, we then eventually got moved but the lady wasn't exactly very polite about it.

Price of parking No hot water on Tuesday night to have shower My room number not put on breakfast list I had to go reception to get authority to have breakfast as staff member just stared at me 2nd time of staying and whirlpool out of action You shouldn't advertise it as being there if constantly breaking down as this is a decision maker of when looking at hotels with spa facilities Breackfast set out lovelly but slow to replace bread and cups etc have to ask someone for help shouldn't matter what time you come down it was 830 for us and had to wait more juice crusty loaf cup machine and cold milk

The hot water broke and was off for an entire day and night whilst there. Kept getting told it was being fixed did not come back on til almost midnight after being off all day. No compensation or apology offered. Just told it will be back on later … told 3 different times, none of them were correct. Also the bed (2 singles pushed together, not a problem) the mattresses were very firm and not very comfortable.

the breakfast was poor, not a great choice at the buffet and the food wasn’t hot. Only one tea & coffee machine which isn’t great when the restaurant is busy. Food and service needs to improve.

Last minute decision to stay so turned up at 5 pm. Cheaper to book on booking.com than direct !! Large reception area. Plenty of space
