The room was very hot - we had 2 sash windows open all night in April.

Could've been better sign posted, sometimes found the way from hotel to the spa a little confusing. Drinks by the pool were quite poor, we had a Strawberry mojito and a margarita, the margarita was from a pre blend and didn't taste nice and the mojito wasn't drinkable and we left it, for the money it wasn't up to standard. Room service sandwich for £18 was a microwaved and hard and basically inedible!

Entrance to hotel was stunning, room was lovely and the spa facilities were amazing and my massage was Fantastic!

The staff are very nice but feels like some are inexperienced. I was asked to show my physical credit card. I thought it is strange and never had to do it. Why is that? Lack of trust? Overall it feels like the value paid could have been cheaper (easily 100£ less)

The spa is exceptional as are the grounds but the hotel itself is not in the same league and could do with some refurbishment, modernising and interior design changes

Breakfast at Botanica hugely overpriced and underwhelming. No dairy for coffee, why? You are serving bacon sandwiches so what’s the message there supposed to be? You’re either sustainable or you’re not. I wanted normal milk. Staff seemed very young and inexperienced. Not overly helpful and were very quiet and almost scared to talk to you

The spa and gym facilities were superb. Some of the best facilities I’ve seen. Fantastic room and bathroom, very comfy bed. The bar area was very nice with an open fire, great for a winter stay like we had. Beautiful setting and very impressive building overall

Dinner in botanica was very disappointing. Restaurant had bright lighting and had no atmosphere - for love of god lower the lighting in evening and add a candle on the table in order to make more intimate. I wouldn't eat there for dinner again. Also the sight of cement mixer and building site from outdoor spa pool did not feel like a luxury experience at all! We couldn't check in to 4pm and had to check out by 11am so less than 24 hours for 1 night (17 hours for 550GBP). I think for one night stays it should be 24 hrs.

Car park a long way from reception with deep gravel so you can't drag a wheeled suitcase across it amd no where to drop off near reception because of weddings going on. Service in the restaurants is friendly but very frenetic, waited 30 minutes just to get our hot drink order at breakast. spa seems a little disorganised. Room safe missing from room.

Excellent service from all the staff from reception to the spa and everyone in between. Food was excellent throughout.

Bedrooms had no thermostat to alter room temperature. Its was a very warm room.

The staff upon arrival were very friendly and helpful, the spa was incredible, the room was beautiful and they made a special effort as it was my partners birthday.

The only down point is there is no covered way to get from the hotel to the spa, which in January is a bit cold in a bathrobe.

Comfortable hotel. Excellent spa and restaurant. It was quiet when we were there which was great in the spa. The service was very good and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
