The shower might need a tweak to stop the water flowing out across the bathroom tiles (we used a towel to stop it getting too bad and it was saturated by the end of a shower) but this was a very minor issue and didn't cause us any problems.

The managers (Fiona and Gage) and staff (Alison was the only other we met) were all very friendly and accommodating of any requests. They were extremely helpful with recommendations for things to do with the kids and places to eat. The kids loved the bunk beds and the huge king bed was so comfortable too. We had to get in touch with one of the managers late one evening because of an issue outside our bedroom and she was on-site within 5 minutes and the problem was sorted immediately, very reassuring as I was on my own with my kids. The breakfast was delicious and Alison was great company and full of chat! The guest house is walking distance to the city, even with younger kids, or there is a bus stop just round the corner. The perfect location to explore the city every day. I can't recommend this guest house highly enough. We will most definitely be back.

Don’t be fooled by the rough exterior, it could do with a bit of a paint job, but the interior was absolutely delightful! If you have a handicap, there is no elevator, but it’s a B&B so that’s typical.

The place was LOVELY and comfortable, Alison was so personable and kind, it was extremely clean, close to the city center, the breakfast was delicious, and they personalized our stay by acknowledging my husbands birthday with a banner, balloons and a cake—SO SWEET of them!!! We loved it and would stay again for sure!

While the area was very quiet, internally the noise of people using the shower in the room above was very noticeable from around 8am as was people walking about up there but I understand that with old properties not built as purpose built hotels that is probably unavoidable!

It felt like sound travelled a little bit but only when people were in the hallways - not from room to room.

The house was very nicely decorated and the room was clean. It was only a small room with an en-suite but was all we needed and it was very comfortable. Rooms had kettle, tea, coffee etc. Very happy with our stay!

We Stayed here for my birthday the room was beautiful and the staff were so chatty and friendly and went above and beyond to make my birthday special, including surprise balloons and banners and even a cake, the breakfast was amazing and the service was so kind and helpful.

Nothing was not to my liking to be honest, I'm a very light sleeper and for me this room was perfect, the hotel is in a quiet street off a main road and so was pretty much silent at night.
