Welcomed with a pot of tea and slice of cake, Lovely couple that could not do any more for you. Made to feel special. The breakfast was amazing, and the attention to detail was very good. Nice clean and a really enjoyable weekend. Cant wait to go back, Have already pre-booked so we don't miss out. Highly recommend.

Parking was a bit challenging with the limited capacity, but I managed to park next to the Shanklin Chine for free and went back there for an evening stroll, so not really a big deal.

Fantastic service in a prime location, only 5 minutes walk from the Shanklin Chine, a few minutes from the Shanklin village, and steps away from the beach front.

We were warmly welcomed by Pearly. While we enjoyed delicious complimentary cake and tea she gave us tips for walks and visits and a personal review of all restaurants in the neighbourhood. The room was light and cosy, featuring coffee making facilities, water, biscuits and chocolates. The breakfast was superb with many options (all delightful). Pearly and Mark constantly made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts!

Hard to fault. Not modern, but neither is the Isle of Wight. Only criticism I can offer is that the shower cubicle was a bit small for an average adult. But it's a Victorian House after all.

Pearlie and Mark work so hard to make the stay the best they can offer to their guests. Starting before we went to our room, we were served home-made cake and cups of tea to welcome us. They are interested in everybody as if guests are family and made a special effort with our 9 Yr old grandson to make sure he was happy. Pearlie also explained and showed him her rocks and minerals collection as he was interested. Comfy beds, good toiletries in the bathroom, fresh biscuits with tea making facilities, and a welcome chocolate when the beds were made up. Freshly cooked breakfasts daily and directions and advice where to visit. Great situation to walk to the esplanade or the village centre. Plus free parking on site.

The weather!!!!!

Everything was excellent. Mark and Pearly were excellent hosts as well. Breakfast was excellent and the slice of cake on arrival was excellent. I know that is too many excellent but the word 'excellent' says it all about our stay at St Georges House.

Exactly what you’d expect from a boutique, independently run hotel. Lovely size rooms with very clean ensuite. Mark and Pearly are very accommodating, friendly and can’t do enough to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. When I arrived I was warmly greeted and offered a cup of tea and homemade slice of cake. The room was very clean and it was cleaned daily which was unexpected but very much appreciated. I was only staying whilst having some work done on my apartment locally, but it was definitely worth it and would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere rated to stay for an island holiday. Also, breakfast was amazing! You have to try Mark’s homemade omelette- delicious! Thank you so much Mark and Pearly! Thanks, Matthew

Everything, our hosts were amazing could not do enough for us, our room was upgraded which was lovely, and it was spotless. The choice for breakfast was extremely good and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our break was brilliant and we will definitely be back.

Fantastic breakfast options! The St George’s House team are incredibly welcoming. They recommended a lovely walk for us to do and it was perfect location as it was a 10 mins walk to the bus stop to catch the shuttle bus to Isle of Wight Festival. Huge comfy bed too. Super clean!
