We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomStaff were all really friendly, and service was great throughout. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in and the sheets were so soft. Helped by the amazing blackout curtains that kept the room lovely and dark, one of the best sleeps I've had in a very long time! Lovely and quiet as well.

United KingdomI could not fault the hotel, the staff or the experience but it was a bit pricey. Our stay was to celebrate an important anniversary so I accept that I should expect to pay a bit more for the quality of the experience, but for me the difference in price against some of our regular choices was not matched by an equivalent escalation in quality, service or facilities. It was clear that this hotel stands above some of our more regular bookings but not by the margin indicated by the escalation in price.

United KingdomThe rooms could have had a more luxurious feel with complimentary items given the star rating and how beautiful the rest of the hotel was. We did stay in a classic room, but l, I would have still expected a little more luxury. Things such as complimentary soft drinks and selection of biscuits would have been a welcomed addition. Other than it was a very lovely weekend.
The hotel was beautiful , and the grounds were stunning. Staff were so helpful that nothing was too much trouble at all for them. Breakfast was delicious in the Burlington it felt little we had stepped back in time it was just beautiful.

United KingdomBreakfast portion sizes were tiny, and not all requests were met. We would've asked liked to know that the service charge applies to this and drinks in the bar, rather than just the restaurant service - it was certainly a surprise extra charge at check out.
We've already highly recommended the hotel to our friends and family. It was such a wonderful treat to be able to stay here for our wedding weekend - everyone was so kind and welcoming (which we haven't often found in 4/5* hotels), and the complimentary upgrade was lovely! The breakfast served to the room was a lovely treat.

This was a short break for a Wedding Anniversary. The Hotel was excellent, giving the perfect location for visiting Bolton Abbey Estate. Breakfasts in the Conservatory were excellent. We also had meals in both Restaurants, eating out on the Patio area on a very warm evening was very welcome. Our a la carte dinner in the Burlington Restaurant was excellent.

United KingdomI was shocked to be charged £50 service charge when checking out and did not have the option to see if I was ok with paying this. I feel that if I want to tip I will do and not be charged without my permission. This wasn’t agreed with us when we checked in.
