Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

United KingdomUpper floors are accessed by stairs so be prepared for that.
The breakfast was wonderful. Great berries, yoghurt & cereal choices and the smoked salmon & scrambled eggs were amazing. There is no parking but we were able to pull up to load/unload, easier because it was out of season I imagine. Room 12 on 2nd floor has a Superking bed, very comfortable. Excellent walk-in shower in that room too. The sea view is to die for of course!

Location was fantastic, and the view was incredible. Had breakfast on our last day and the choices were plentiful and the quality was a really good standard. The staff couldn't do more for us and were so welcoming and helpful. I would certainly go back here!

United KingdomI'm a larger person, chairs on the balcony rm12 are very small, yet the chairs on rm5 balcony, which is a smaller room, are lovely, all rooms should have these as I couldn't sit on my balcony due to this Walls are very thin, both myself and my friend in a different room on a different floor didnt sleep Tuesday due to a guests loud snoring (I know this isn't the owners fault, I'm just saying the walls are rather thin) My friend had rm 5 which I believe is a compact double, I had rm 12, a larger room but I feel rm 5 was better, better seating on the balcony and also more privacy either side , if the balcony on rm12 was the same as rm5, it would be perfect

United KingdomBreakfast would have been an extra £10 each on top of what we paid to stay here! So we didn't have it as not only is that expensive I wouldn't have eaten £10's worth. Cheap shower. Shower curtain had seen better days! No parking- had to buy an 8 day permit £45 for car park behind property. No one said thank you for staying & goodbye... Never saw owners

United KingdomShower in room 11 could do with being replaced if I was honest . Understand not a power shower but was very hard to wash soap.out of hair etc . We did ask about it and did what was asked of us ( pressing button ) but still not great . In saying that it really did not affect our stay . Just took a bit longer for a shower .
. The view is amazing . Staff lovely especially Beth who is so good , looks after you and nothing is too much trouble for her . Even though short staffed and she did quite a lot by herself. She is jack of all and a little diamond Breakfast was gorgeous, piping hot for the cooked, and also a good choice of cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit etc . We had a lovely evening meal, the fish I had was delicious and my husband devoured the fish pie . Unfortunately we only ate the one night due to staff shortages I believe ,so can't comment on anything else on the menu 😔. We didnt want to go to a busy place and The Downs was just right for us . If you are looking for a relaxing break this is for you .

United KingdomThe room was very small but to be fair it does state it was a compact double and the water pressure was so bad my wife couldn't wash her hair but there was a sign saying there were issues with the water supplier. Decor was a bit dated but we have had a tough couple of years so I imagine the budget for renovations is a little low

The view was the best I have seen in this country. The room was a bit on the the small side but it was enough for us. The breakfast was great,especially the scrambled eggs on crumpets. The staff was great.
