Unfortunately the novelty wore a bit thin when we realised the plumbing was as archaic as the decor! If you are on the top floor, you need to take your bath or shower in the middle of the night because the water goes off if anyone else is using it! Trying to run a bath at 8am was a nightmare!

The room was so dated it was like time travel back to the 1970s! Initially quite amusing and was a bit of nostalgic!

Room heaters not working. We had to wait 1 Hr to get low power detachable room heaters. The electronic ports in room were not working so couldn't charge any device. Staff took another 1 Hr to find a replacement room. Insincere staff. Bad service. Bathroom was too cold.

The hotel provided free parking. The hotel was big and the Christmas decorations felt nice.

The hotel room is outdated and seen better days. I wish the hotel management give it a proper tlc. The rooms look tatty, curtains falling off from the rail, beds were uncomfortable. Furniture was really old. My husband and I are Engineers and it saddens us to see a dilapidated building.

The location was ideal. Very close to the seaside and Scaborough Spa venue. The ladies staff were friendly and accommodating. We have to changed the room, as the first room was draughty from broken window.

The bedroom and bathroom were tired. The furnishings were functional but the bedroom furniture was badly worn. The bedroom and bathroom were desperately in need of an update and redecoration. There is only one lift and for such a large hotel this was unacceptable. The staff were very pleasant, but at times they were absent from reception and so it meant waiting a while before someone appeared.

The location is outstanding and the views from many of the rooms must be impressive. Sadly not from ours, but someone has to be at the back!! The bed was extremely comfortable and all the linen was very clean and pleasant to use. The bedroom and bathroom were large and functionable. The water was hot and the shower pressure was good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Grateful and commendable, that the hotel receives dogs.

Very nice location. Our twin room was a corner room with both windows overlooking sea. Great views. It was nice to have evening entertainment too.

Breakfast was advertised at £5 to pay at hotel, we were charged £8 per person per Breakfast. The person who took the money said it should have been changed. Also the eggs were cold. Hotel looking very tired.

Hotel very tired. Bed .... awful. Springs poking through mattress! Requested wheelchair accessible.. To go to room had to navigate fire doors! To access entertainment had to go out of building to gain access through side fire exit.

We are used to having Breakfast on a Buffet basis so that we can choose exactly what we want and we can be on our way without having to wait for parts of the meal.

We needed a quiet place to get a good nights sleep which was what we got
