There was a damp smell in our bathroom

We were put in a disabled 'wet room' despite not needing one. There did seem to be other options, and probably not a good practice to do this in case disabled visitors do turn up. Many of the small lights in our room didn't work - no toilet paper either. Was supplied quickly but puting it in the room rather than bringing it to our dining table would have been a better look! On balance, the place is still very good but perhaps with a little more attention to detail.

Room large, bed comfortable and lots of free extras in the form of real coffee, cider, milk etc. The food (we had a sunday lunch) was very good though the desserts were not that exciting (dairy ice cream option would have been nice)

Breakfast was the least attractive aspect of our visit. We had to ask for plates, yoghurt, tea and coffee and the buffet cooked breakfast did not look very appetising. I think there was a shortage of staff which did not help.

Car Parking all around the hotel is practical but means customers are missing out on the potentially nice views across the countryside. Thought food was a bit of a hit and miss, the steak was nice but the plaice could have been better

Really lovely staff , especially the young lad at dinner time and the lady in the morning. Nice traditional pub well maintained. Room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Very good bathroom facilities and we liked the nice pear cider included in the welcome pack, thank you!

Not the most comfortable of beds (a bit too squidgy for our liking), but that is par for the course with nearly everywhere you stay. The only real negative was the glazed double bathroom doors which open out to one side of the bed which meant in the middle of the night when one of us got up to use the bathroom the lights blazed through the glass and across the bed waking the other one up!

Room was very spacious and a decent size shower. The restaurant was very good, excellent local food, the breakfasts in particular were fantastic. All the staff were very friendly and approachable which made our stay even more special.

Wifi is poor

Great location for Portsmouth ferry the following day. Very quiet, nice rooms, pub has great beers on tap, nice wine list and excellent food. All in all I would not hesitate in recommending this place.

The only couple of things were that the room was quite warm and needed a little bit of touch ups here and there.

Lovely treat for Sid our dog in the room and at breakfast. Friendly staff and lovely relaxed feel about the place. Early check in was available and door for out of hours return

Nothing really, when you consider it as a pub with good accommodation.

One night visit for (Havant) funeral the next day - with meal that night & wake next day. There's a parking section for hotel guests around the back, pub only guests parking to the right of the hotel/pub. All was good/excellent when you consider its star level & price level. If you want 5* or luxury experience find a 5* hotel and pay a lot more.
