How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We are a family of six, and we stayed in Suite 22, a spacious two-bedroom accommodation. The suite consisted of a large living room and dining area, a small kitchen, and two generously sized bedrooms, each equipped with two showers and a full bath. Despite some slightly uneven floors and aging fixtures and furniture, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, finding charm in the hotel's character. The breakfast, served in-room, was excellent for both adults and children. The staff were attentive and friendly. Additionally, the hotel's location was ideal, just minutes away from Marble Arch tube and bus stops, as well as Oxford Street.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it was a disappointment. The furniture was odd (silver painted in the bedroom) and the living room was not nice at all. Also when it was time to check out at noon we received a phone call from reception telling us it is time to go! Strange since everyone knows that you have to check out at noon.
I liked mostly the location. The hotel is also a lovely boutique type, and really English for us.

The mattresses were pretty worn out and bumpy and a bit too soft for our taste. Some windows in the room were not shut properly so you could hear the wind sometime. The carpets in the room could use an update.
The breakfast was okay, the variety they offer is good, although the food in the restaurant was very plain and ambient. The location of the hotel is perfect, you can reach a lot of things on foot also underground and buses are close too. Room was spacious and the staff were nice and always helpful. The wifi is free and works fine.

Room was too small.
Breakfast was excellent. Service at reception and restaurant was amazing. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Location is great. Beautiful, traditional decor.

The TV didn't work on arrival- staff sorted it but in the morning again did not work.
Good sized clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and attentive, friendly staff . Nice hotel with lots of charm for a central London hotel. Nice to have a couple of wine in the room too.

Some of the furniture needs to be renewed
All staff were very kind, polite, and cooperative, especially Mr. khan The hotel is clean,quiet, and classic, as I like It's very near to Oxford St. Hyde Park, bukhingham Palace, london Eye, Madame tussauds, and underground stations.

Very Old furniture, need to be refurbished, no Gym and pool ( which is privileged) Other than that everything thing was awesome, very recommended in london

We like to stay at the Leonard when we are in London because it feels very homely and we like the lobby and the cream tea. The staff are very kind and helpful, and the location is very good. Thanks for your help with our luggage.

The decor in the room was very dated and could do with a refresh .although the shower was good the glass door had tape on the bottom and didn’t close properly so the door got quite wet.
Breakfast was very nice ,it made a nice change to have table service and the staff were lovely.the room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable.
