It would have been good to have breakfast included in the cost of the room.

The room was quiet, comfortable and very clean. The hotel was within easy walking distance of Hendon Central.

The reception staff tried hard but need training- for example knowing where the disabled toilet is and for whom it is appropriate! They are kind but a bit clueless!

Breakfast is rather basic, and does not include anything hot or cooked. The staff at the front desk are kind but their willingness to help is limited (for example: they won't call to order us a taxi).

The hotel is located in a building that was formerly used as a monastery, and has been renovated in a pleasant and aesthetic way. The lobby / dining room is well heated and offers hot drinks and cookies throughout the day (self-service).

We didn't like the breakfast. It was described as continental yet it was anything but! Also I really disliked how the cereal was served in small bowls that weren't at all covered. Normally for hygiene reasons, hotels use cereal dispensers for buffet breakfasts, so there's no spillage or people grossly touching the cereal with their hands. I really think The Pillar hotel should get these too!

Lovely bedroom, nice and spacious. Thought the chocolates on the pillows were a nice, sweet touch.
