Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomNothing... we have no complaints regarding the Sands apartment and staff. Our only complaint is my ongoing battle with booking.com .I always use booking.com but will be more careful in the future and recommend you research your prices including directly with TheSands as I found our weekend break cheaper by £124 .Booking.com are making it very difficult for me to get a refund for the difference.

The property had everything you need, full kitchen and a washing machine. There was a nice welcome basket and fresh milk in the fridge. The location is brilliant with fantastic news. There’s a one stop right at the bottom of the building which is very convenient for any grocery shopping or even ready meals. There is also a pub restaurant and an ice cream shop all conveniently situated in the same building.

United KingdomThe only comment I would make was regarding the location of the room. 104 is just after the roundabout on route to the beach over a convenience store. You still have a sea view and apartment is excellent. But if you are a light sleeper the traffic and early morning dog walkers, heavy rain sounding like stones hitting the main bedroom window tends to wake you up.
The apartment was very clean, spacious and well equipped. Location was loverly but would have been better directly facing the sea away from the roundabout and convenience store. Staff very helpful, pleasant and polite. There was a well equipped gym and area for breakfast but we made our own and sat on the balcony watching the surfers. We'll worth the price. Food served in 2 restaurants below apartments. Taylors is excellent. But evening entertainment at this time of year a little difficult to find even if you walk into South Bay Harbour during the week. The months of June July' and August would seem busier with open air theatre just around the corner and peacham park across the roundabout,

United KingdomLocation bit far out. Good 4K walk to main Attactions. Car park not managed well. Got there and the receptionist had to give us 2 different spaces before being able to park due to other cars parked in what should be the available space. They later confirmed we may have to move again which would have been a massive inconvenience as we was out and about all day.
Breaky was great. Hosts were great. Apartment lovely and very clean.

The breakfast at the salt water cafe was amazing. It was always busy however, we were lucky enough to get a table every morning with a sea view. Not great if you’re in a larger party. The location was excellent! You can walk on the coastal road into town or get the bus for £7 each. We requested an electric car charging point and got this at no cost. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. The local bars and restaurants are all dog friendly, plenty of seating inside and outside. Loved our stay and will be returning again in July and September 😊

United Kingdomparking spaces are too tight and not well controlled. a guest that had checked out left their car in our space the whole 1st day. the balcony is a bit wobbly and doesn't feel safe. the place is too hot for our liking and even though we turned the heating down, it seemed to be remotely turned back up.
