Very dated, we were last here in 1980s and the accommodation wasn’t here then, but it looks like it was built just after circa late 80s early 90s and hasn’t been touched since. Hard to make it look and feel clean with dingy furniture, small windows and dark hallways. Main building is obviously intended to be if it’s age but the ‘new’ fades room is a nice touch that doesn’t spoil the aged look.

Location was nice, with some short dog walks on the doorstep, and the high street has some nice shops and pubs.

2 very mixed dinner experiences. One was great, one was not. Staff in Service during second stay was less welcoming than 1 stay a couple of days earlier

Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly and although I drew staff’s attention to it, nothing was done about it. Evening meal was very disappointing - pizza advertised as 8 inch, only the size of a side plate and not much flavour -breakfast similarly disappointing.

Location great for RHS Wisley. Pleasant surroundings. Friendly staff.

Shower was not clean, curtains stained and ripped, horrible odour in wardrobe. Bathroom fan was dirty and noisy. Turned away from evening meal as supposedly fully booked- restaurant empty. Only offered to eat in bar as an after thought so went elsewhere

Character, location, parking, dining area with view to garden, good breakfast and morning staff.

It was 32 degrees when we were there, the bedroom was really hot with only a fan, no a/c. The bedroom we stayed in was in the stable block and is ready for a refurb, however is suited our needs as travelling with dogs.

Location is perfect and the food is good. Lovely old hotel with plenty of parking. Staff really friendly and made our dogs very welcome also.

Some more fresh fruit would have been great for breakfast. The real ales weren't on during the first night and when they were on the second night, they were cloudy and going / gone off!

No muesli for breakfast, just a lot of sweet packet cereals. Would have liked a fruit and nut muesli. Also Would have liked some interesting bread for toast, preferably granary, rather than the rather bland sliced bread. Cooked breakfast was very good

Excellent location for visit to RHS Wisley. Enjoyed the garden and watching the village cricket match on the pitch opposite the hotel. Very comfortable bed and cool room despite tropical heat!
