United Kingdomthe one thing that annoyed me was the bathroom. we had a superior room. but the bathroom was a matchbox. the toilet was literally wedged between the bath and a ridiculously large sink unit. actually had to climb over the toilet to get into the bath for a shower.
warm, friendly and welcoming. Food was absolutely first class.

United KingdomI couldn't close the window completely (large sash window) so could hear street noises. Noises from other rooms (disturbed dog more than me) could possibly be reduced with draught excluders under doors, making sure doors don't need to be pulled hard to close?
A beautiful old hotel, lovely and interestingly decorated in a beautiful town in a beautiful location.. Very helpful staff, excellent included breakfast. Dogs very welcomed. Room and ensuite shower room immaculate.

A really nice hotel. Recent decoration and extremely pleasant colours. Everything was luxurious and of quality, from the staff, to room, the bed and bedding, choice of pillows, super clean, great bathroom etc. I was very impressed and on this trip it was by far the best place we stayed.

United Kingdom- room very warm, but window opened a small section and onto main(ish) road which was noisy Delivery was done under the window at 5am so had to close it. - some breakfast items were not seasoned and bland, but the Devon cooked breakfast was very good.
- lovely friendly staff - clean and tidy room with coffee/tea/shower gel etc - amazing location, easy to get into Dartmoor and a beautiful little town - Sunday roast excellent quality and quantity - great selection of local beers and local gin in the bar - so dog friendly, in bar and restaurant, and enough space in the room for the dog's bed without is tripping over it.

United KingdomThe noise we experienced from room one in the hotel from outside was so loud and wentvon till very late.Bottles were being emptied at a ridiculous hour,with people shouting abd talking loudly between the hours of 11pm and 12. When advising staff this the next morning the response was met with the defensive side saying they would check the camera as it was very unlikely they would be up making noise that time of night and know they are not meant to empty bottles,giving Me the impression that my word was not believed whilst still charging Me the full price for my stay. They were more defensive then apologetic which has made me leave this review,it doesn't take much to sympathise and believe your word.
The evening food we had was delicious and the staff were very attentive.

United KingdomThe room felt quite warm, as we couldn't keep the window open due to the traffic outside (it is located right in the middle of the village, and our room overlooked the main road). Given that it is an old building, sound insulation isn't very good - we could hear every foot step in the room above us. Again, due to the age of the building, there were some low ceilings, which meant not being able to shower totally upright (and I'm only 5 ft 11''!).
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was nicely decorated and of a good size. Having the restaurant on-site was convenient, too. Good value for money (especially with a good breakfast included).

United KingdomThere was a lot of noise at night from a pub across the road. Not within the White Harts control but it was very rowdy at points and would have possibly upset some people. I shut the window to block out the noise so worth noting for guests who want quiet.
All staff were lovely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make me feel at home. The food was good and the breakfast service and spread was great. They accommodated my dietary requirements easily and were very dog friendly. Thank you. All facilities were great and I felt very cared for.
