The fan in bathroom stopped working in first 24 hrs, reported to reception, not fixed when we left after another 2 days.

Room soundproofing let it down. We had a first floor room at the front of the hotel and entertainment noise from the hotel opposite was something to consider, together with other room fire doors slamming as guests don't always have the thought patterns for others!

Lovely room with everything we needed including an espresso machine and bottled water. Very nice finish with room decor. Very good shower with large walk-in enclosure. Location perfect for beach and town

There were a few niggles. The fire door just outside our room banged loudly every time someone went through it. The only plug socket that you could use for the kettle was by the window sill which meant the kettle had to be boiled on there. And the housekeeping team didn’t fill up on tea coffee and milk used daily.

Only fault was hot food at breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was only warm at help yourself food on Monday which we needed to ordered for some reason was much hotter and nicer.

Great location , near the beach and the town. Very helpful staff, clean and cosy . The waiter at breakfast was very helpful and efficient . When we arrived early we were allowed to check in early and the staff were very accommodating .

I feel the parking charge is excessive.

The location and facilities were very good. We had a couple of issues with the room, but the friendly staff attended to these. Breakfast was superb.

Unfortunately draft beer wasn’t working. Prices for a drink were very pricey! 2nd morning for breakfast was buffet & not menu choice. We originally booked a classic double & the room was very basic, bed very uncomfortable, full of dust, toilet was constantly on the flow! So we paid an additional £20 for an upgrade which was much better !

Location is great! Staff were lovely! Upgraded room was much nicer

I do not have much to complain about. I wish it was a bit more accessable, but with everthing offered, and a good location with parking, I cannot comlain.

When we arrived the beer pumps were off , so we asked for a bottle cold beer to be told the fridges weren’t working. They advised they can’t be prepared until after Easter. We stayed Sunday till Wednesday and still not fixed . The reason we choose this hotel was to sit and relax in the bar with a few drinks , so sadly wasn’t as enjoyable as previous stays .

The blinds were slightly broken in our room, which made it difficult to sleep as the early morning sun came flooding in at 6am, plus the outdoor lights were left on which made it impossible to sleep the first night. ( they were turned off the other two nights) The room felt dusty as there was dust all over the walls in our room, plus there was a lot of damp behind the wardrobe. If you have allergies I suggest you ask for a higher room not a downstairs one like we had. The lady we spoke to about the issues, tried to be helpful but she was working alone and couldn’t actually fix the problem and said they were fully booked so couldn’t move us to another room. This is our second stay here as we loved the first time, however, sadly won’t be returning again. It feels like it could do with a refurbishment as lots of pictures missing from walls and slightly less comfortable than last time.

Great location, close walking distance to town and beach. Parking not an issue.

Breakfast to order was available on the first day and it was excellent, but on the 2nd and 3rd mornings a hot breakfast was put out on a buffet and it wasn't as nice. On the third day, they ran out of toast.

Breakfast was good, the room was fine and the bathroom was large and modern. The air/ heat didn't seem to work but the room temperature was fine. My husband left his jacket in the bar and the staff went out of their way to make sure he got it back. We were very grateful.

We went for breakfast first morning ( Easter Sunday) at 9.45 and very little hot food left, no bread. Breakfast ends 10.30. Lovely lady (working alone) got fresh eggs and bacon for a few people after asking. Second day breakfast far more organised , two staff working, so assume was due to minimal staff on the Sunday. Food was good( usual breakfast fare). Only issue with room was an exceptionally noisy extractor fan with bubbling paint around it.. an easy fix. If we needed to stay in Bournemouth again would definitely revisit orchid.

Despite being a double, we had good space, bedroom area fairly small but cute alcove with dressing table, separate lobby with wardrobe, tea making, coffee machine. Comfy bed. Huge bathroom! Staff were lovely! Nice lobby area, only used bar once. Really close (ten mins) to beach/town/restaurants.
