Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI have no compliants
The bedroom and on-suit bathroom were clean and with plenty of space. The windows are getting tired but that has to be expected due to the age of the building.

United KingdomCleanliness wasn’t the best, rooms weren’t cleaned properly and up to standards. Unfortunately room wasn’t emptied from previous guests and we had found a sex toy on the floor, told the receptionist and they had apologised but not much care from them or compensation. Beds were solid and complained to staff which offered a mattress topper, we had to go out and buy more pillows as pillows were very poor quality. This hotel has a couple of car parks which we’re all full, receptionist told us to park on a different site but once
Liked the swimming pool even though was quite a walk from the room, as with disabled guest. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe outside of property is showing significant signs of wear and tear plus some public areas have not had recent investment, although I understand the potential issues of a venue so large.

United KingdomHaving to pay £10 a day to park the car on top of the hotel bill. The pool was freezing cold, and the indoor pool was cold, so much so that we never used the pool's. The hotel having an indoor and outdoor pool was the first main reason I booked. Food and drink were expensive. Continental breakfast? Not realy. Fruit and cereal are not Continental. We had breakfast 3 out of the 6 days I had paid.
Location was excellent. Entertainment was excellent. Facilities were ok But expensive.

United KingdomThe day before we arrived the hotel messaged me saying that we would be charged for parking - not good. On arrival the receptionist said that if we had booked direct with the hotel then the parking would have been free. This was a surprise which Booking.com failed to inform me off. Also, messaging me the day before didn't give me the opportunity to cancel and rebook. Having also booked a room for my son and his family the additional cost was going to be £33 approx. I had a polite conversation with the manager (Roger - a nice man) and he agreed to refund the parking fee. We don't usually travel during the school holidays so I was very surprised at how expensive the hotel was.
The staff, the room, the breakfast, the facilities and the entertainment were all very good. We travelled to be with family and friends, including grandchildren, so this wasn't our normal holiday, which is usually adults only. The hotel catered very well for the children which was our main goal. The location to Torquay sea front was good.

United KingdomStaff weren’t very friendly. Particularly in the Aztec Bistro. Lifeguards made us feel uncomfortably when we were in the outside pool area as it seemed they were talking about us. Overall hotel was very outdated. Food in the Aztec Bistro was horrible. Clearly made and then microwaved - even as far as ham and cheese panini!
The location was perfect. So close to the train station, the town centre and the sea! The facilities went beyond my expectations, with access to the spa facilities, entertainment, restaurants arcade etc. The value for money was great! The bedroom was clean and such a good size!

United KingdomLeisure facilities are off-site a short walk away, charge extra for the gym. Food was good but the dining room is more of a mess hall than a nice restaurant. A ridiculous £10 per night parking fee unless you book with the hotel direct was a surprise. Shower was more of a slow trickle than a flow

United KingdomDisliked · There wasn't any drinking water available in the rooms, the water in the bathroom was cloudy and not drinkable. I was working from my room and I found myself getting thirsty several times without any immediate water available. It would be an easy fix for the cleaning staff to add some filtered water to the rooms daily or on request even for a fee. The bed moved every time I did, It needs fixing or replacing. Walls are thin and you can hear everything, in my case from someone in the room opposite, solvable with ear plugs. There is an issue around the dinner that does not make sense (to me). The fee for a three course meal is approx: £23.50 then a supplement is payable for additional options £5 for a specific starter and £12.95 for a specific main. My confusion is if we are choosing the supplemented meals why pay the £23.50 plus the supplement, why not just pay the supplemented rate? I am pretty sure it wouldn't cost much more, paying for both feels considerably over priced of course it's our choice as the customer to make. The facilities on Booking.com list room service however, I was informed in person this wasn't the case, so it might be worth amending. Overall a good stay, I am detail-oriented hence the comprehensive list.
Liked · The staff are extremely hardworking, as they are very busy with lots to do and are pretty organised in doing so. They are also keen to support and are amiable. The room was a good size with a good bath (more thorough cleaning is advised). I really liked the breakfast, lots of choice. There was so many options for entertainment we were spoilt for choice, incredible talent every night. The on-site gym, classes, pool, spa, restaurants, bars and local beach are all good reasons for me to keep coming back to TLH.

United KingdomThe toorak we stayed in smelt very musty as you walked in . The rooms really do need modernising , walls were marked and window frames were a little poor.. But the bed was comfy and the room itself had what you needed in it .. The carpets throughout the complex were a little dishevelled...
Pool, was great a little cold but that's just my opinion.. Facilities were good.. Pool tables very poor... Snooker tables were well kept .. All in all a good Aztez Games is a good place to spend a little time ..
