Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe parking was bad. Toilet had a blockage and they didn’t want to clear it. But to be fair they gave us an en-suite room upgrade for free so didn’t complain.

United KingdomPaid £100 to be in a box room that looked nothing like the pictures. Website says £5 parking however had to pay £12 when we go there. Bed was so small my partner had to sleep with his feet off the side of the bed as he couldn’t fit in. There was damp and mould on the ceiling and holes in the walls. Pillows were so hard it felt like you were sleeping on a brick.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

United KingdomNo coffee and tea facilities in room even though it showed on there site, also no small towels in the bathroom, no real set up for breakfast, the street is very rough looking and the front entrance area needs some work on it, luckily the staff and rooms were very nice. A bit worried about leaving our car out side.
The location was good for the city centre but the area and street were pretty bad very rough looking we nearly drove away , but once we seen the room and the staff we were very surprised it’s a little hidden gem.

United KingdomToilet door lock didn't work The stupid cleaner let our friends into our room without our consent! She knocked and the door and said house keeping and we didn't open, obviously we were busy and our friend was also outside trying to get in and we didn't want to let them in and the stupid cleaner opened the door and let them in. We could've been naked and doing anything! Very disappointing and uncourteous

United KingdomRoom not value for money £100. Bed sheet had two large white marks made by being washed with a tissue. Only 2 towels. No option for a glass of water. No mat for stepping out of the shower onto highly polished tiles which made it quite dangerous. Incredibly blank and unwelcoming receptionist on arrival.
Lovely large bed with comfortable mattress. Lots of hot water in good shower

United KingdomIt is really only a personal preference, but for me, the whole building was waaaay too hot. Im sure most people like a nice warm cosy room, but I just felt every single room had the heating on full blast and it was just a bit too much for me. Also, again, nothing to do with the facilities themselves, but I found our neighbours in the rooms next door and above us to be extremely noisy. Again, not a problem for most and we were there on a Saturday night, so it can only be expected, but we were there on business and needed to get some sleep and probably chose the wrong hotel for this. It is close to Manchester city centre so this was almost certainly an oversight on our behalf. All in all the place was good, clean, comfortable, and well presented. Just a little too hot and noisy for me. I 100% would return, but would likely make sure it was not a weekend.
The room was comfortable and better appointed than I expected. The finishings were very nice. The bed was large and comfortable and the room was a good size. We stayed down in the basement rooms and the shared shower room was shared between four rooms. Ive never really stayed anywhere with a shared bathroom and I was a bit put off at first, but here was never a time when i wanted to use the bathroom and someone else was in there. The other guests kept it nice and clean and it really wasn't a problem. There was shower gel and soap provided in the shower rooms and towels were available on request, I guess they don't put them in the rooms as standard, but there was no extra charge or anything. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but there was a communal kitchenette in the reception where you could make yourself a coffee in the morning for £1. All in all not bad at all for the money.

United Kingdomthe end of the bed was a wooden post. as soon as you opened the door, my knee went straight into the wooden post. Not good. There are wooden shelving over the head of the bed. Rather inconvenient if you are over 6 feet tall and want to sit up in bed with your back against the headboard. The radiator in the toilet is piping hot. One could fry an egg on the radiator. This did not help that the radiator is placed beside the toilet bowl. I burnt my arm on the radiator, trying to reach the toilet paper. It was not a major burn that needed attention. What we are very disappointed about is that we told the receptionist and nothing was done about it. Adjusting the temperature would have been the best apology.
the room was clean. Enough space to put away folded clothing
