Venue and carpets looking a bit tired in places the bed was OK but the pillows were too firm and bulky would benefit from two pillows to provide choice of bulkiness.

Restaurant was exceptional both food and service, drinks a bit pricey. Nice cool room which was a dream as I really struggle with warm hotel rooms.

On your website the rate was £69 for single with double bed and £77 if include breakfast. I paid £77 to include breakfast but when got to hotel they had no record of breakfast and charged me £11. So I paid £19 for breakfast! Those rates were still showing for night of 10th too. Rip off. I won’t be booking with you again. Don’t deliver what you say.

Property was ok. As expected, nice hotel.

Furnishings are a bit dated. The shower curtain was fabric with no liner and there was mould on the windowsill on a ground floor bathroom. We asked for two rooms together as a family but were put two floors apart. The breakfast was not great and most of us didn’t finish. Would have preferred more limited options done to a higher standard.

It’s a lovely property in a part of the city we needed to be in. Staff were friendly.

The room was situated quite close to a main road, which meant you couldn't leave the windows open at night. Unfortunately, due to this, the room got very hot during the night, so we struggled to sleep very well (despite getting a separate sheet to use in lieu of the heavy duvet). The bedroom really needs Air Conditioning in my view, as the fan which was available only moves the air around and doesn't cool it. This problem may not have occurred had the weather not been unseasonably warm for October, but we believe that A/C in bedrooms for a good quality hotel is a must these days.

Room was comfortable, and liked the Pub that was next to, but part of the hotel. We liked sitting in there rather than the hotel bar area. Food in the restaurant was also lovely.

    Sleep, see above.

Good breakfast. Good bed but sleep partially disturbed by noisy plumbing, sounded like air lock hammer(?). Room 143. Restaurant manager lovely, took us to view the Tudor ceiling we remembered from Hall of residence days, very kind and helpful. Table reserved for the group at breakfast and dinner.
