Althogh the decour was dated, the bed was comfortable and the room a good size. The shower wasn't good. The staff were really nice and helpful.

I stayed one night for a work trip. I was offered a choice of rooms and took the one at the back of the hotel away from the main road. The room was clean, warm and comfortable, shower was good. Friendly staff, and the cooked breakfast was very nice. Convenient location, on a bus route into the city centre, near a couple of takeaway food places and opposite a Tesco Extra.

A lovely traditional family-run hotel. We particularly loved the murals, painted by a family member. An unexpected gem.

The shower was very temperamental, it was either very hot or very cold no in-between. Breakfast could do with more choice available, perhaps a help yourself station.

A really lovely stay at the Woodlands, an ideal little place for a overnight stay. The staff were lovely, and the place was very clean and well kept. The Hotel is slightly out of bham, but has easy access to the city centre via the bus routes.

The wifi didn't work, shame as I needed it for work. Shower temp wasn't hot enough.

Check in was easy and straightforward. Parking was free and the carpark was secure.

The internet was a little slow and only one bar reception. I would have also liked some additional channels in the form of netflix, iplayer etc.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff were very polite and accommodating when asking for adaptions to the breakfast menu. The lady on arrival changed my room allocation as I needed a room with a desk/table to work on.

Husband had full English which was ample. I had poached eggs on toast. Only one slice of toast and one egg but am sure if asked they would have supplied extra.

Old style hotel- needs modernisation. Room quite cold and unable to turn any heating on. Tv too small for room size Local area felt unsafe at night.

There were a lot of stairs to our rooms but well worth it for the quiet. This hotel is not close to the city centre but there are frequent buses. These 2 points would not stop us staying here again.

The breakfast was just what we wanted, and cooked very well. The rooms were spotless as was the shower rooms which were almost brand new. Our rooms were at the back, so extremely quiet and overlooking the garden and car. It was worth climbing the many stairs to get to them. The beds were very comfortable. The parking was perfect - lots of room, and locked for security at night. Staff were helpful, kind and cheerful. The lady owner was able to book us a taxi and advise about buses and restaurants. A great place to stay - we would go back there.
