Only small issue was there wasn't toilet paper in the toilets except 1 when we arrived but they were topped up fairly quickly

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable, food was incredible, had the best chicken burger of my life there.

There was an odd pipe sound that manifested each time someone uses the sink/bathroom (I think it was linked to the hot water). For those who are light sleepers like my sister it may keep them awake all night. I thankfully managed to ignore it, but would be good if it’s fixed :)

The location was RIGHT BESDIE the sea! Wowwee! It was a little walk from the car but worth it! The room was up some steps but the view was brilliant, we could see the sea peaking through the trees! The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very kind and friendly, we even had tea there too!

The Windows up in the new part, way up the steps. The Windows are to the floor so everyone who walks past can see into your room and your bed. A suggestion is that maybe you could use "frosting" sheets to make the bottom half of the window more secure and private.

Slight walk to and from the car park, but this allows for traffic free, cleaner and more peaceful location.

The room was uncomfortably warm, so we slept with the window open which didnt help that much. It would be nice to have a thermostat in each room.

The food wasn't great. We ate an evening meal which was fairly basic but overpriced with a number of elements poorly cooked. There's a full kitchen so I'd recommend self catering. For visitors there's a number of cakes and deserts which are a lot nicer. A relatively minor gripe but there's WiFi in the lounge but not in the rooms and a very poor phone signal - would be great to extend that WiFi to the rooms.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. All in all it had a very "youth hostel" feel, which is to say a variety of friendly and chatty guests with plenty of people here for the outdoors. People should note the distance to the car part and pack accordingly, also that the walk to Robin Hood's Bay is fine for people who are reasonably fit, but those who are unfirm will struggle.

We loved everything

Amazing place, A lot of character, lovely decoration and plenty to do, brilliant staff, very friendly people. We absolutely loved it. Claire, the person working at the restaurant at night, was amazingly friendly to all children. She created a very lovely atmosphere. The rooms and facilities were amazing and the food have an excellent value for money. We look forward to go back as we came back absolutely delighted.
