I read in the reviews that a birthday arrangement with a birthday card and flowers can be done - and its why I have booked it. However, afterwards Sylvia the receptionist told me that this cannot be arranged at all, (even though we would have paid), without offering me any alternative indeed, any idea, or anything at all. We asked for a taxi because we couldn't rent a car, but she was quite rudee saying that the hotel is notg responsible for this. Mention this it was heavy snowing and Cortina d'Ampezzo was quite full for anything below 400$ a night. Regardless, the owner.director helped us in the end. Apart from the receptionist, everyone else was beyond friendly, especiaaly the lady from the kitchen, also the pizza guy, also the owner. The morning breakfast coffeemachine had a sign do not exceed 2 drinks which I found it weird, especially bcs we skipped 2 breakafasts, so in fact I can allow my self three, - or who would at one breakfast at all? Meaning, one can barely exceed 2 drinks and there is no need of the sign, if that 1% does. However, I guess noone would say a thing if there are 3 indeed, I haven't tried though. All in all, I like it a lot nonetheless these 2 details So we would definitely go there again.

A nice hotel with old world charm. Very good breakfast and lovely staff. For us, the beds were not very comfortable and the bathroom could do with an update. However, in terms of value for money we were happy.

Our room was on the main road - so noisy until late at night.

Staff was friendly, very helpful and English-speaking. Room was small but had storage space and a comfortable bathroom. Breakfast even included eggs and bacon!! The outdoor patio was delightful.

Noise from the main road, if the rooms had air-conditioning you would be able to shut the door to block out the noise.

Room and toilet were weared and old, especially toilet and sheer size of it. It is impossible to sit normal on toilet because it is so close to side wall.

There was no vegan option for breakfast, so I had to pay the breakfast but bring my own bread spread.

The people from this hotel were very nice. We could rent a little boat for free as long as we wanted.

Breakfast is poor. Cheese and ham were always in short supply, on the coffee machine was written "please take only 2" (well is it a buffet or not?) and I didn't like the bread. Cakes were good though.

Rooms were small but OK. Location is good, one small fact is that the parking is not right at the hotel but across the street, some 50-60 m away ... not a problem.

The breakfast was nice. The staff were professional and helpful; although initially there was a mix-up with our room, they changed the room for the next days. We had a great view of the lake. The hotel is also walking distance from cable car to piani di pezze.
