How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Room is like an old Apartments refurbished. Very loud noise of street and the lift is very small. Very very small.
Good location. The gesture of the staffs are good. They prepare you welcome card and left a pack of pasta for you with a note as a goodbye gift.

The front-facing rooms are on a busy street, but the windows did take down most of the noise.
The property was close to the train station, Mercato Centrale and many other key attractions. Renovations were underway and the upgrades will surely impress.

They were renovating the hotel so it was slightly noisy during the day.
Just outside main florence SMN Station. The staff were very kind and helpful.

Close to main train station, bus station and city center. We had a comfortable bed and room, however, shower is a bit too small. The hotel is so generous, providing pastries and coffee in coffee corner for all guests.

The hotel was under restoration, so we could not enjoy it properly. Breakfast was not available, pand the hotel elevator was very small. But the most problematic for me was the bite of the mattress insects, which caused allergies in my body. Noises could also be heard from other rooms.
The location was great and the staff too.

The basic room is a bit expensive in terms of value for money.

Not having breakfast available.
The location was great and staff was supper helpful. Good shower and very comfy beds. However, the hotel is in renovation (in the breakfast area) so they do offer free coffee, but there is construction work being done. Other than that all was great

The phone in my room didn’t work. The walls are very thin so all noise can be heard from the other rooms

The bed could have been a little more comfortable. Also, I would suggest adding a second chair in the rooms so if there are 2 people there would be enough sitting available. But none of this was a real problem. I would stay at this hotel again.
The location so close to the train station was great and the staff was friendly. The coffee and croissants available in the lobby was a very nice touch.

Only one small elevator was in use. The staircase was not in use during our stay.
Awesome location. The train station, bus station, and convenience store are extremely close! Very convenient!

The room did tend to get a bit hot and the air con didn’t seem to work so we had to keep the window open most of the time we were in the room which lets in a lot of noise, it did go to show how good the windows were because when they were closed it blocked a lot of street noise! Also unfortunately there was works going on in the breakfast room and there was also a leak in the ceiling by the lift.
Amazing location, super close to train/bus stations. Lots of nice restaurants around and right next door to a supermarket. Everything was in walking distance. The hotel was also constantly being hoovered/cleaned which could have been ramped up due to the works that they were carrying out. Staff were generally friendly and we got a lovely gift of a packet of pasta on our last day which is a nice touch :)

The staircase case was blocked for renovation work so the only way was using the lift which I really hate...as I have claustrophobia, would avoid lift if I can. Could hear the neighbour taking shower...the noise was loud..
Very very near the SMN train station and 5 mins walk to town centre. Friendly welcoming staff. Clean, soundproof windows. Many Asian tourists, nice to see them ;-))
