Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt would be nice if you have a coffee sat in the settee’s relaxing at any time of day.
A lovely restaurant with open kitchen, though at times we thought the younger ones serving in the restaurant needed a bit more training.

TurkeyThe quilt shield is not good, it opens in the night. Sound proof windows are working good, but when someone walks in above room, you hear it.

United StatesLike all Italian cities, it can be noisy at night (Church Bells, street noise, etc.). Hotel has double glass windows, which keeps it quiet at night.

United KingdomNothing. All good. If it had had a bar that would have been the icing on the cake.
Great location in the centre close to everything. Nice room, not the biggest but just fine. Good breakfast. Beautiful common areas. Very helpful staff both cleaners, porters and receptionists. Reception helped us with booking a particular visit we wanted to do.

United KingdomThe room was a bit small for a 3 night stay. We'd probably upgrade. The lightweight duvet is synthetic and hot. There's a cellular wool blanket in the wardrobe which we swapped it for (much more comfortable) - but then the help switched it back! The pillows are a bit on the hard side too.
The Hotel Corona D'Oro is a former palazzo located down a side street backing onto the old Ghetto, about 3 minutes' walk from the main square and the fountain of Neptune - it could not be better located. Rooms are double-glazed and noise is really not a problem. The layout is a rabbit warren but well signposted, so there's no need to get lost. Our room, while small and slightly old-fashioned in feel, was extremely well equipped, with no shortage of storage and a generous bathroom with extensive counter space for emptying washbags onto. An intelligent nightlight in the bathroom stopped midnight stumbling. The establishment was happy to supply fresh milk for our morning tea. The associated restaurant has an adjacent cocktail bar with a barman who clearly loves his job: it's hard not to be knocked out (in every sense) by his specials. The menu is ambitious: we had a very decent meal there on our first night (though eating well in Bologna is not a challenge and there are many good places within walking distance). An excellent breakfast is served in the restaurant: as well as an extensive offering of hot and cold foods, eggs are cooked to order. We were there in blood orange season and the freshly squeezed juice was a joy. The front desk team is clearly high morale: friendly, welcoming and as helpful as one could wish. We will certainly return here when we come back to Bologna.

United KingdomThe first night was disturbed by excessive loud noise from outside but the hotel were excellent in changing our room and remedying the situation.
A well run and efficient hotel. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was good and stretched over a reasonable amount of time. Check in and out times were reasonable and not like many of the U.K. Hotels who have now stretched check in time to 3pm/4pm which is not great for the customer.

DenmarkIt was quite pricey compared to other stays. The room was a bit small, and it was a bit disappointing that you had to pay for the coffee in the room. Other 5-star hotels provide coffee-tabs complimentary.
The location was exceptionel. The staff was very friendly, and provided an exceptional service. The hotel is beautiful with an historic decor.

United KingdomThe hotel is centrally located in a beautiful cobbled street, the staff from the front desk to breakfast/bar were all so charming and helpful and nothing was too much problem. The downstairs communal areas are lovely and breakfast was delicious. Our room was really well appointed and comfortable and had a walk in shower rather than shower over bath that so many older European hotels have. Lovely towels and products too. I would choose a room at the front of the property if you can. Furnishings all very attractive. It shows that it is privately owned and cared for.
