Luxury comfort, great location, views/atmosphere in rooftop bar, great breakfast.

    Nothing - everything was great.

This was an excellent night stay - I had a small yet luxurious room on floor 4, close to so much yet quiet. Stunning views on the rooftop bar and fantastic, fancy included breakfast buffet with wide range of savory and sweet options. It was worth paying a little extra for this room - well priced considering how nice it was.

The furniture is a bit tired and the food choices in the rooftop restaurant should be enhanced.

Location is great. Cannot get better ! The hotel has a nice cosy atmosphere which is the opposite of chain-style hotels. The rooftop restaurant is a nice hideaway with great views.

Fabulous hotel, fabulously located right next to the fabulous Uffizi, in fabulous Florence

Would have been good to have hot potatoes at breakfast and hot boiled eggs. And coffee in room.

Breakfast room decor was a delight and the breakfast pretty good - scrambled eggs a bit runny for my taste and boiled eggs cold, but this was made up for by the variety of options available, particularly the cereals/granola choices and the accompanying range of seeds and nuts. Availability of soya milk either hot or cold was great and the service prompt and courteous. My room the first night had a window that looked out onto a wall and the staff were kind enough to change that for the second night so I looked out onto the river. Roof garden afforded excellent views in two directions and I wish I had stayed longer to experience more of the atmosphere and service there. Exceptionally helpful and accommodating staff so that when (not if) I return I will look no further than here for an hotel.

Well, some may say that the chairs in the room would benefit from some new upholstery but from my experience, when historical places start changing their old good furniture, it's only for the worse :)

Wonderful, cosy place in the very heart of Florence! Literally two steps from the Uffizi Gallery! Clean and comfortable rooms, nice bathrooms with everything that's needed for your stay like sleepers, bathrobes and even a room fragrance. The hotel is located in a historical building and the breakfast area is definitely worth a visit. I love this type of places with history and soul, which is totally absent from the modern high-tech hotels. Finally, a little rooftop bar has a beautiful view over Florence and a really tasty AperiVista offer :) Not to miss :) Staff is friendly and helpful, and you'll feel welcome. It was indeed one of my favourite stays over the years.

The location of this hotel is stunning. It is right in city center between the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery. If you're in Florence to see as many museums as possible, this is where you want to be. It was between 5-15 min walk to most museums. Absolutely fantastic! The hotel itself is as stunning as the city. Beautiful marble bathrooms in the typical style of Florence, and the breakfast hall has paintings all over the ceiling, like most historic buildings in the city.

Orientation within the property was quite a task on its own. Finding your room back again through 2 adjacent houses and just 2 floors to pass through (Yes-1th and 3rd work!). Nice extra to your holiday - a small adventure game is included :) Nevertherless a few arrows would make this easier for some tired travellers.

Lokation superb (you can´t get it closer to the centre in Florence), breakfast room nice and historic, breakfast as expected for a 4star hotel . Rooftop bar amazing with very polite and friendly bartenders. Actually not a single negative comment to anyone of the staff.

    Perfect location for city exploration

We did not like the city noise (cars, church bells and building work) but when travelling to a city that is to be expected. Bringing earplugs worked for us. Despite the noise, we would stay here again.

We chose the hotel for its location and close proximity to all sights: Duomo, Santa Maria Croce, Palazzo Pitti, Uffizi, etc. are right at your doorstep - brilliant! Due to the location, in front of the Arno and a small road which runs parallel to the Arno, there can be noise coming from passing cars or tourists walking along the river (even late at night - normal city noise?). Also, be mindful of the church bell ringing every hour; we used earplugs. When making the reservation, why not request a high floor? We had a basic classic room on the fourth floor with great views over the Uffizi and Duomo. One side of the breakfast room on the first floor faces the Arno (there are only two tables with a view): the buffet offfers a good choice of fruit, yoghurts, juices, pastries, etc. but the cooked items are not always hot. The breakfast staff was very friendly and accommodating throughout our three day stay! The bar on the top floor is fantastic and offers views over the Arno from the small outside space (16 Euros for a cocktail). There is a small lounge with books on the second floor and another small lounge on the ground floor: both areas are very comfortable and quiet. Room prices were reduced drastically nearer the time of our arrival; worth keeping in mind!
