Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

UkraineYou can hear planes flying low from/to the airport almost every 10 min, especially on the high floors. It wasn`t much of a problem for us, but good to be ready for it
Big clean room and bathroom, a lot of furniture, good location (really close to the blue metro station 'Jardim zoologico' and Sete Rios train/bus station), which is perfect if you want to go to Sintra/Cabo da Roca and beaches near them.

PhilippinesWish for more space for luggage. It's hard to arrange the luggages. No coffee maker / electric kettle inside the room but can request hot water in the bar for free.
Breakfast is fantastic. The room is quite small but good enough for 2 pax. The Hotel cleanliness is Ok. Location is accessible to train, about 8-10 mins walk but the area is safe.

GreeceA bit noisy at times, especially if you like an open window as there is plane traffic. Access to the hotel street is complicated as it is at the edge of an overpass and google repeatedly directed us at the back of the hotel (which meant a 5 minute walk and some steep stairs).
It is very close to the metro and a 10 minute ride to the center of Lisbon. Very convenient if you travel by car, it has a big parking and there is plenty of street (paid) parking spots as well. There is 24/7 bar and food service (good choice) but a bit on the pricey side. There are some very good restaurants around. The staff is very eager to assist.

PortugalWe couldn't open the window and at the reception we were told nothing could be done until the morning (understandable since we were back to the hotel at about 2am) but the AC was also not working so the room got way too warm. Also, in the elevators it says the restaurant runs 24/7, however when we asked about food options (at about 2am) the only thing available was toast. Again, understandable considering the time, but the info is a bit misleading. We were under the impression we could buy something at the hotel when back from a night out and that wasn't the case. Still, nothing too serious or damaging to the experience.
Amazing price-quality, the cleanliness of the room was great, the size of the room was great, bed was comfortable, staff made us feel welcome. Breakfast is really good for only 9,5€!
