How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

My only complaint is the carpet in the rooms (and halls ). It’s ugly and very dirty. It certainly detracts from the overall cleanliness of the rooms.
The breakfast covered carbs and protein with breads, cereals, yogurts, boiled eggs, and juices. And of course, coffee. Nice location and I enjoyed the morning paper! Staff there very friendly.

The breakfast is really insulting and no variety. No fried eggs you can have nor fresh bread nor cheese. The room was not sound proof at all. We heard the neighbours and the outside noise when there was one.
The WIFI was good, the bathroom and the room spacious and the beds really nice and comfortable. The room was clean and was cleaned every day when putting the sign for cleaning request outside of the door. We could park our car in front of the room for free. Airconditioning was good, but loud. The area was good with many restaurants around. Laguna Hills is a nice town.

The carpet had gum stuck on it. The box springs were dirty giving an overall feeling that the room wasn’t as clean as it should have been.
Perfect location for our visit to Saddleback College.

Our room was across the street from the fire station, and above the smoking area, so we were woken up several nights by both

Hallways on our floor hadn’t been vacuumed for the duration of our stay. The linens and especially the pillows could use updating
The breakfast was very good, lots of choice, clean surroundings and well organized. Our room was large and quiet.

Breakfast was decent but maybe add some different fruits, plain yogurt and some low carb options.
Cute hotel with pretty landscape. We stayed 4 nights and it was pretty quiet, even Friday and Saturday. Location was great, close to some shops, restaurants and highway. We would stay again.

Pool and jacuzzi was dirty every day so we did not use it. This could have easyily been taken care by just vaccuming the bottom.
Room had a good space with two good size beds. Breakfast was good for us, different type of bagels some cereal choices, youghurt and milk. Location was very good for us a bit more quit and easy to get around to shops and supermarkets. Could even walk if needed which is rare in CA.

Staff charged me on two occasions and I was not aware of any other charges.
Rooms were nice. Layout and landscape were phenomenal.
