The city had plenty of interesting sites to visit, in particular ancient and medieval sites, the types of places I was there to see. However, I had a difficult time finding a restaurant to dine in. I was near the center of the city and, with one exception, all I could find for dining were cafes that provided nothing but sandwiches, if that. Very strange for a city of that size.

Friendly staff that allows travellers to park their car on the driveway within closed gates. Air conditioned rooms. The nearby town of Canosa is has a wonderful central square with hundreds of people on it at night. Good breakfast!
