The rooms were so beautiful and it was very clean. Matera is just a must. Loved our hotel, very centrally located. Everyone was very friendly.

We arrived at the hotel quite early, but the kind receptionist let us in before check in. Pleasant atmosphere, clean, all the smells and I have no words for the breakfast. Huge selection of everything! A pleasant 15 minute walk to the center. All recommendations and thanks for the hospitality.

Perfect very simple very clean friendly staff excellent breakfast in local cafe close to old city but crucially accessible by car parking garage 100 meters away. Much more convenient than staying deep in pedestrian and very very very hilly old town

Wonderful, peaceful setting just outside Matera. Free parking and per friendly. Delicious dinner and friendly service.

Even though we stayed only one night, we were amazed by the kindness of the host, with whom we communicated via Whatsapp. We had a very early check out, so we couldn't have breakfast but the host was so kind that he welcomed us with breakfast for the next morning nicely packed in the room. The room was extremely spacious and clean. It seems like everything is brand new. The room had access to a large terrace with a wonderful view. We are sorry that we did not stay longer in this hotel.

Masseria Fontana Da Vite is a little oasis in the beautiful countryside of Matera. From the beautifully curated rooms to the relaxing poolside and courtyards, we couldn’t have had a better time. The food was exceptional as was the warm service provided by all the staff. Impeccable and no notes for improvement!

Close to all sights, restaurants etc.

We spent wonderful days at Lo Stemma with most probably the nicest view on the Sassi from our room and from the terrace where we had breakfast. Everything was just perfect, the historic house is carefully maintained and tastefully decorated. The guest-attendance very personal as a small hotel. Breakfast was excellent, nothing missing. Just stressing this out as there were some negative comments about it in the past.

Great central little hotel, literally 3 minutes' walk to Matera's main square. Very friendly and helpful staff, quiet location despite its centrality. Good wifi. Free street parking very tricky to find (but available around the hotel) but we found paid for parking round the corner (1 euro/hour from 8am to 8.30pm but free of charge between 8.30pm and 8am).

Unbelievable... It was cool staying in a cave room. It was very modern and fresh with great amenities. We will return and book a balcony or view room for something different.
