Great city! Clean, stylish and vibrant. Visited the Da Vinci Museum - incredible! Allow a day, there’s so much to see. Secret Platform 21 was worth it and very moving. Only discovered this one by chance and glad we visited. As you would expect the shopping is great. Also such a clean city, rubbish bins everywhere and people use them, so good to see!

Milan is a city you need a little time to get used to. Every neighborhood has its own atmosphere, you can find quiet, green areas that are perfect for relaxing, as well as lively tourist districts full of people, shops, and nightlife. It's fascinating to see modern skyscrapers standing next to beautiful historic architecture. The city offers plenty of great places to eat, and it's also a good destination for shopping. However, Milan is definitely not a cheap city, so it's worth planning your budget in advance. Public transportation is excellent, and we never had any trouble getting anywhere we wanted. It made exploring the city very easy. I highly recommend visiting the rooftop of the Duomo for the incredible views, the Brera district and museum, and the Navigli area, which felt more cozy, authentic, and noticeably more affordable than the city center. I also recommend trying the gelato at Gusto 17 and watching the sunset near the Arch of Peace, it was one of the most memorable moments of our trip. One thing to keep in mind is that pickpocketing is quite common in busy tourist areas and on public transport. As long as you stay aware of your belongings, it shouldn't affect your trip. Overall, Milan is a vibrant, diverse city with something for everyone, and it's definitely worth visiting.

Milan was much as hoped, lots of impressive modern and historic culture. We took part in the virtual reality tour of Il Duomo which was fascinating and entertaining - it took us back to what life was like and how huge the task of building the Cathedral was. Taking the canal boat trip first linked the 2 histories together. We also visited the San Siro stadium (much shorter than the 3 hours stated but still good to do), the medieval Sforza Castle grounds and surrounding parks, cafes and bars, and wandered for hours around this amazing city. I would like another 4 days there and an empty suitcase for the fashion sales. Such sophistication!

Beautiful city, incredible architecture, the Duomo will leave you in awe, but do your research before going there, because some of the most popular visiting locations need a reservation. Also, before arriving in the city, it would be a good idea to research some food places with nice reviews. Mind the streets, even when on the zebra crossing, no car will give you priority.

It was my third trip to Milan.

It was my third trip to Milan. Every time I saw something new in this city (museums, areas of the city etc). Great public transport system. you can go from the one side to the other easy with Metro lines, buses, trams. Download the app and purchase ticket for multiple days according to your stay. You must see Duomo, Palazzo Reale di Milano,Teatro alla Scala, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Leonardo museum, Pinacoteca di Brera, Sforzesco Castle - Arco Della pace, Armani Silos, Fondazione Prada art museum, Bosco Verticale and other skyscrapers, Velasca Tower, Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie and other many churces, museums, buildings and monuments. You have to visit city life area, Chinatown area, Navigli and Brera area, Via Dante, Via Monte Napoleone (the road with the most well known fashion houses), It is a lively city ! We enjoyed eating pasta, pizza and meat and drinking Aperol spitz, negroni and wine. From Milan you can visit Como and Como Lake and you can visit Bergamo, Monza car racing venue and Pavia.

Milano tips: - Take the Duomo lift up to the roof, you get to see places others with stair acces don't. Also get a fast pass ticket so the archeological site and chapel in the church are included in your ticket. - Good place to have apperitivo is at the navigli river at a spot called Chunk! Very kind people and very nice food and drinks for a good price. - We also ate at Da zero and food there is also very good I had a Broccoli and sausage pan with triangles of bread it's really good. - Pasta is always a good choice here. We ate pasta bolognese at Top Undici. (people here are a little fast and pushy with taking your order). - If you want to try tiramisu at a fair pprice other that the expencive restaurant one go to a place called Spun. It's a take away tiramisu spot and there are different kinds of tiramisu you can try. - At the navigli river there is a good spot for gelato named Amorino. - Mosquito repellent spray, please get it. It's a must! - Please learn at least a few basic words or just one sentence to start your conversation with EVERY TIME. (The Italians love it and this means they will love you and be very kind and helpful). - Take in account dress code (churches, cathedrals, dinner... ) - Reserve certain activities and dinner plans, if you really want to go there. - There are 24/7 Carrefour markets to be found in Milan. - Outlets (make sure you have an adapter or that your charger will fit the outlets). - The metro in Milan is a gods send, please use it. - The monumental cemetery is a must do! Not a single grave withouth a monument/statue on it. - All chapels are nice to visit (be aware there are many). - Go drink a coffee at the starbucks reserver roastery! If you are a fan of coffee it's the place to be!.
