We'd spent the previous week in Genoa, and only travelled up to Milan to hop our flight home. Genoa has a proper 'old town' area whereas Milan has beem redeveloped massively into a more generic kind of place. We only really had a single day to see Milan so did the major touristy attraction which has to be the Duomo which is quite impressive and 'serious'. Even at the end of September it was still hot in Milan 25+ but as we were well past the tourist traffic peak the queues were were short though still in demand. Late in the year you are more likely to be able to book for next day for general admission but the roof top or towers still should be pre booked. It's a very traditional 'solid' kind of cathederal, if you want to be stunned try La Sagrada Familia. It's worth having a look around the covered arcade of shops next to the Duomo, more for window shopping as it's an expensive selection of shops! After this we hopped a tram (the public transport in most Italian cities is typically better and cheaper than you'll find in most UK cities) over to the Navigli district. The canals are very impressive, clear shallow flowing water lined with many bars and resturaunts, it's a far less crowded and relaxed area to stroll though.
We were just passing through. From what we saw, the city is not very clean, graffiti everywhere. Did not see enough interesting sites to comment on the city. Arrived late, left early the next day. We found some people helpful, others not. Will pass through again in 2 weeks and plan to visit the Duomo Milan and La Scala.
beautiful city. Metro is easy to use. Be aware of the two very different airports and not get on the Metro for the International airport!! It only goes to the regional airport. To get to International airport take the train from Central Station. Restaurants and food around Duomo are fabulous but get off the beaten path to experience more. Nice parks in Milan.
A dirty filthy place with vagrants everywhere. We saw a person in the square in front of the railway station who took all of his clothes off and spread his 'But Cheeks" in front of a water fountain and cleaning I presume his "Butt Hole". How disgusting to see this, not impressed. There were druggies and alcoholics hanging around the square clearly in view of the Police who just did not care. I would never go back to this disgusting smelly foul city.
Finally made it to Milan on my fifth trip to Italy. Be sure to go there and stay at least 2-3 days! The main sights are easy to access. The Duomo rooftop tour is an amazing must do. Even if you aren't an opera fan, La Scala is worth a visit. Check out the fashions, eat superb food and take it all in.
First time in Milan and was amazed by the downtown as it was the biggest I have seen so far. So many brands and lot of them had very good offers too. It was very lively even during late hours with so much of happenings. Its a must visit city in Europe.
The hotel has a modern feel to it and the room, though on the smaller side, was cozy, very clean and well-equipped. The staff throughout the stay were fantastic - friendly, helpful and professional. The location is decent as the hotel is close to both the city centre and the Garibaldi train station (15min walk to both), but it's not right in the middle of town. The gym area was great. In sum, it's a very good hotel and I'd recommend it to anyone stopping in Milan.
I have stayed at Just hotel Milano for the second time as far as we were going to Florence the next day and the location of the hotel near Centrale was essential for us. Very good hotel and convenient for using Milano Centrale in order to go to the other cities of Italy or the Airport. Modern and comfortable room with all facilties. This time we took the breakfast which was also very nice. Will definitely stay again at Just hotel Milano and would recommend to everyone.
Milan City Centre, Milan
Both rooms we stayed are very specious, clean and very modern. The location of house cadorna is perfect! You are just nearby the train station so you can easily go to the airport or to other places in Italy. It is about 10 minutes walk to the cathedral. You are very close to the city centre. They clean your room every day. During the night it is a very quiet place to sleep. You have a supermarket next to the house so you can easily get food.
We needed a place that was close to the train station and this fit the criteria. We got in kind of late and the walk was about five minutes. We didn't feel unsafe walking to the hotel like some places in Italy. The beds were comfortable, very firm which I loved. Breakfast wasn't bad either. The staff was very friendly and a surprise compared to other places we've been.
Loved our stay here, the hotel is really modern, spacious and clean. All the amenities you'd need are available and the staff are very attentive. There are heaps of restaurants downstairs or within walking distance. Best of all, the central train station is just across the road so you can get anywhere in Milan, or even Italy, with ease. Would definitely stay here again.
Stazione Centrale, Milan
Oh wow. I've been to Milano many times BUT this place is absolutely the BEST! the location is super centered with a lot of restaurants and bars that are open till late (which is a rare thing in Italy) the Apartment is big with a lot of space and the kitchen was fully equipped! the host was very nice and available at any time! so 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for me
Stazione Centrale, Milan
We weren't here long - just overnight before heading to the airport. But this was one of the cleanest, nicest apartments we stayed in on our trip. The air conditioning was the best of anywhere we stayed in Italy, and it was so nice to have a cool night's sleep. Everything was so new and nice, which was unusual for our trip.
In comparison to many hotels in Milan and Italy, this hotel is quite grand and large, which is a nice. The room was very spacious, with high ceilings and a beautiful garden view. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the fitness centre has a lot of workout equipment in comparison to many standard European hotels.
Located very conveniently in the City Centre. The room was fresh and modern, making the best use of the space. For a short stay in Milan, this hotel was very comfortable, convenient and satisfied all my needs. Very clean. The staff was very friendly, as well, which is always a big plus for me.
Location was perfect. Room was totally comfortable and very clean. Internet (wifi) was working without any connection issue - could easily stream anything. Breakfast was excellent (best croissants we have tried in hotels in Italy and very good coffee )
The room was very clean and we had everything we needed. It is located close to Central station so it is very convenient if you need to take the train to travel from Milan. You can also walk to the city centre of Milan from the hotel.
A simple hotel equipped with everything you need to explore Milan. The location is great - not far away from the central train station. The city centre can be reached easily by metro or bus. A great quality / price ratio.
Milan City Centre, Milan
the property is really 20 seconds from the Duomo but besides that nothing special actually worst place I stayed in italy and did Rome Florence Bologna and now Milan city is beautiful but this place looked like a war Zone!
This hotel is the best. We overcame the distance to the City Center by learning how to use bus transport. One cannot get better price/quality ratio in Milan and even most part of Italy.
Perfect location right next to Milano Centrale, nice clean rooms, great value for money. Hotel Folen tends to be our preference whenever we travel in Italy with a short stop in Milan
Beautifully renovated reception and bar on the ground floor. Easy location to access the central station and other parts of Italy. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was very clean.
Milan Suite Hotel provided all the things you need for travel, strongly recommend all of you. Less than 5min walking distance to bus stop that can send you to city centre
Absolutely one of the best hotels in Italy. Great AC, amazing breakfast, kind and friendly staff and central location
This is the best hotel in Italy I've stayed
