Amazing place in the middle of the mountains. You can experience what is like to live in a small village and you get to know the people that live there. Every person I met there, including the host, were very friendly and helpful.

The holiday home is 10 km from Monte Verde Natural Park. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and Praia Da Laginha is 1.7 km away. Kaza Jindung is the best place I’ve stayed so far in Mindelo. The host, Luís, is very friendly and ready to help you. The neighbourhood is safe and people there are very friendly (if you say you’re staying by Luís, they treet you almost like their family!). The apartment is newly furnished with furniture and decorations made by local artists and craftsmen, the kitchen is well equipped for making coffee and cooking, there is a fridge, coffe maker, stove etc. The architecture respects the local climate (small windows etc.) so it is pleasantly cool even in the worst midday heat without the need for air-conditioning. Everything is spotless clean and big plus – there is no heavy traffic around the house but you are still 10 minutes walk from the old town, seaside, market etc. Infront of the house is a charming restaurant runed by US/capeverdian couple called Cusinha d’terra where you can get local dishes and drinks (I recommend their ponche and fried inhamo!). If I ever return to Mindelo, this will be the first place I search on booking!

Amazing place with a very calm and beautiful beach. We were two and we had our separate rooms with separate bathrooms. The beach is just 1 minute away on foot. The friendly host answered all of pur questions and helped us with everything.

It’s great quiet place, ideal for morning or evening runs! The house has all the equipment for cooking, warm water, an OK wifi. It’s beautifully furnished, vegan breakfast option is possible! If you don’t rent a car, be sure to bring enough drinking water and food from the city. Any taxi can drive you there from Porto Novo for 500 CVE (aprox 5€), walking there is an option but not the best idea during the hottest part of day 11-15:00.
