The location is perfect, right in the center of Bogense, and there is a designated parking spot. Our room was clean, cozy and comfortable and there was a nice kitchen next door which was great. Freddy, the host, put an American flag in front of the entrance, a nice welcome. He was so kind, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a typical Danish spread, very nice, and we ate upstairs in a beautiful room filled with sunlight. The very best thing for us at this property was to be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful garden. Pictures below.

Hotel Ærø is located in a 19th-century building by Svendborg Harbor. All rooms have a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Private parking is free for guests. The front desk staff were great, friendly and helpful, made me feel welcome - not just expected! It's an older building - which is charming - connected to a restaurant - also charming and serving delicious food - especially the breakfast! It has a few quirks.... but it added to the overall experience.

The free soft-serve ice cream was AWESOME and totally unexpected. We all loved that. Breakfast was beyond outstanding. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way.
