I didn't expect to find a little home in the middle of Six Star Street – but that's exactly what Kailash Youth Hostel and Manasarovar Café turned out to be. First, the café. That huge window? Pure magic. You sit there with a cup of coffee, watch the old trees and people walking by, and suddenly time doesn't feel so rushed anymore. The sunlight pours in, the seats are comfy, and the quiet hum of the street makes everything feel soft and easy. Then the hostel itself – clean, simple, and full of heart. The beds have proper latex mattresses (yes, really – no saggy springs here), the linens are fresh and smell like sunshine, and the whole place is kept spotless. The glass reading room became my favorite corner: surrounded by books, natural light, and a sky that changes from blue to pink to starry night. I could sit there for hours. The self‑service kitchen saved me more than once – everything you need to cook a simple meal, plus free tea and coffee. And the international vibe? Beautiful. One night I was making pasta next to someone from Germany, while a guy from Brazil was teaching a Chinese traveler how to shuffle cards. No pretension, just people being kind and curious. Location is perfect – right in the heart of Six Star Street, walking distance to cute shops, local food, and a shopping center. Yet inside the courtyard, it's peaceful and green. And the price? Honestly, for what you get – the space, the atmosphere, the cleanliness – it's a steal. The staff are the real treasure though. Always smiling, always helpful, and they speak English so easily that I never felt lost or alone as a foreign traveler. If you're looking for a place that feels like a warm hug at the end of the day – this is it. I came as a guest, but I left feeling like I had found a second home in Xinjiang. Location, price and availability, staff

Such a lovely and charming place. Upon arrival, we were given a very friendly welcome and were offered a choice of two rooms. The room we stayed in was large, clean, and nicely decorated. The bed and pillow were comfortable, which is the most important thing for me. The bathroom was also clean, had a very nice shower, and soft towels. It was also very quiet. The curtains were blackout curtains, so we weren't bothered by the morning light. There is a nice courtyard, but as we only stayed for two nights, we didn't have much time to sit there. The location is great, on the edge of the tourist center. There are nice restaurants to eat at within a 15-20 minute walk. Wifi works great (although you need a VPN to enter the general apps, like everywhere in China).
