The place was just 5 mins driving distance to the volcán Tenorio NP. Unfortunately, we couldn’t not see wild Tapir while we were staying, but the view from the balcony was great!

Yarumo Lodge is truly a beautiful and peaceful place and we feel lucky to have stayed in this gem. The place was very well kept and spacious. Listening to the wildlife literally in the backyard was amazing. Our hosts were super responsive to our questions and generous. Highly recommended!

Owner and staff are attentive. Morning walk of the cacao plantation is very informative and educational. Very recommended to take the chocolate course (trainer's English not always clear, but we manage to make 1/2 kg chocolate per person to bring back home). Recommended to stay 2 nights, and walk around the property (there is a 2 hours walk in the plantation and forest where you can spot beautiful flora and fauna). Love the free chocolate drink at check-in. Fire place for night star watching is just priceless.

Laura was amazing. She showed us all of the wildlife on the property and at breakfast, setup a great viewing to feed all of the birds and other wildlife in front of our breakfast table. We got to see a pair of Toucans. It was amazing.
