I had an extremely nice time staying here for four nights on my solo trip to Santo Antao. The room and facilities were all great. The breakfast is delicious, local, and BIG. I recommend also eating dinner at the hostel, where they also make delicious and varied food.

The staff were brilliant and very good at communicating. The bunk room was fantastic, nice decor and loads of room. I had to leave early and the kitchen made me a breakfast bag.

Everything was simply perfect—from the staff and the room to the pool area and the amazing dinners, freshly prepared every evening. This place is a truly unique and beautiful gem ❤️ You can genuinely feel the love and passion that went into creating it. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Santo Antão.

Excellent location generally speaking, and especially for the famous Cova–Paúl trail. Every morning you wake up to stunning views over the valley. If you visit during the festivities of Dia de Santo António (13th June), which I truly loved, you can even experience the procession passing right in front of the hotel. A unique and authentic cultural experience. Getting around is easy without a car. You can take a coletivo/aluguer for around 70 escudos to Pombas, and from there connect to Ribeira Grande, Ponta do Sol, Porto Novo, and other areas. To reach Cova or Cruzinha, a taxi is usually needed, but the hotel is very helpful in arranging anything you need. The hospitality is outstanding — warm, kind, and always ready to help. It is a perfect example of what Cape Verdeans call morabeza, the spirit of welcoming and kindness, especially from Georgette, who was the most warm-hearted. I stayed in the shared room at Hotel Château Georgette. Most nights I had the room to myself, and when shared it was with very friendly Cape Verdeans from São Vicente, which made the experience even more special. The coffee was really good. Also highly recommended: the Georgette apartment in Mindelo if you are spending time on São Vicente.

The great service and the people‘s friendliness

Sissi is one of my favourite hostesses in all of Cape Verde. She is a really sweet and caring person. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing: omlette with delicious fresh youghut, bread, cheece, fresh coffee, juice, butter jam and a small cake. This is the best breakfast in all of CV. Sissi welcomed me as arrived off the alugeur, waving at me from her top window. She showed me around and helped me understand the hiking alternatives in the area, how to get there and how much it costs. She is very interested in helping you, not just grabbing your money. Sissi also allows you use of her kitchen, stove and refrigerator. She is truely a terrific host and helped me have an amazing time in Santo Antao. Thank you Sissi!!!

We stayed in the seaside view studio and the view was really fantastic, plus we could see the sunset straight from our sofa ! The studio overall was very comfortable, with all necessary amenities, very clean. Really kind staff, Guillaume (the owner) was also there and shared with us a lot of great hike suggestions! Breakfast was simple, but more than enough for us, very very tasty and home made.

This place is absolutely fantastic. By far the best stay in Santo Antao. Location is perfect with a view of the sea and a picturesque abandoned airport. Staff is sincerely friendly, relaxed and they also speak english. Hotel level room was spacious, spotless and had the most comfortable bed I have experienced on S. Antao. Fabuluos breakfast, also best I've had (so far) on S. Antao, hence, stayed in six guesthouses.

This accomodation is much better than it looks on the pictures. The room was spacious and clean, and quiet at night. The breakfast was amazing - the best we had in Cabo Verde. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and although the English of most of the stuff is very limited, we always managed to somehow understand each other. David is fluent in English and was very helpful in providing tips for hikes and logistics.

Oceanfront, wonderful ocean view from Bed, simple clean rooms, best value for money, nice staff

Very nice hostel with great view of the ocean. And right next to center of town and collectivo pick up point. Super clean and everything is new and well maintained. Cleaning comes everyday and contact with hostess was quick and service super good. I would definately recommend this place. :) tip: go to local soccer match on saturdays in ponta del sol.

The guesthouse is simple but the hosts are incredibly kind and helpful in arranging hikes/taxis etc, the bed was much more comfortable than in many much more expensive places we stayed, breakfast on the terrace was lovely, and the location is central and convenient. Highly recommend!

Great location in this cute town - next to some nice places to eat and with views of the mountains and coast. Also in a good location to do the hike to Fontanillas. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and the area is quiet at night - with the window open you can hear the sea. Also, a lovely breakfast.

I really loved this place! I am convinced it’s the best hotel in Santo Antão. Everything was very clean, new, and beautiful. The room was great and the bed was very confortable. I slept so well! The staff were amazing — really nice and always ready to help. Breakfast was delicious, homemade and fresh! and we had dinner at the hotel twice: highly recommended! This hotel is perfect for relaxing after long hikes and exploring the island. I strongly recommend it! Thank you!!! 🙏🏾 😊
