Such a fantastic taste of paradise. Everything at subtropica is done with love and skill. The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Antonio, who helped us fulfill all our plans in mindo! Thank you!

Great location very comfortable beds and very friendly and helpful staff. Margarita was so helpful she made our stay really special giving us advice on how to make the most of our time in Mindo and helping us with booking taxis. Lovely breakfast with views of the humming birds.

The place is located up the mountain in the middle of the forest and has his own birdwatching platform with water, coffee and tea available for guests. They also have binoculars and mosquito repellent to make your birdwatching experience very comfortable. We saw a lot of birds (tucan, parrot,...) and even an agoeti. The host is very friendly and arranged the taxi's for us. There is a very good restaurant next door with delicious local food for both breakfast and dinner.

New and excellent hotel! It is a clean and comfortable suite, nice and equipped kitchen. We paid our staying with credit card without problem, because in Mindo the cash machine didn't work. The hotel is just two blocks from the center in a quite place. The staff very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and variety. The garage is free.

Esther was an amazing host! Helped out with a spider. beautiful surroundings in the forest and really nice food. it’s out of town, so you need a taxi, but we loved the location. Saw 6 toucans and so many hummungbirds

We stayed for 1 night and it was the best experience for our first time staying in Mindo! The hotel staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were very clean and spacious. We had told them the trip was to celebrate our father turning 88 and when we had arrived for breakfast the next morning, they had arranged balloons and flowers all on our table, it was truly thoughtful of them. The hotel hospitality was truly one that we won't forget. We will definitely be back and to stay for more days! Highly recommend!

We stayed at Las Terrazas de Dana for 4 nights. It is a real oasis! Our room with the terrace was very nice. The garden is beautifully landscaped and you can watch hummingbirds and other beautiful birds from your own terrace. The breakfast is rich and delicious. David is very helpful and friendly. Marco and Freddy are also always concerned about the well-being of the guests. The whole staff is very friendly. We had also booked a bird tour through David. The tour with our guide Natalie was very good. We were able to see many birds. David also arranged cab transportation to the airport for us. The cab ride was pleasant and relaxing. We would definitely book this accommodation again and can only recommend it.
