A true experience. Beautiful location, excellent room. Staff were very helpful. Good breakfast, we unfortunately did not have an opportunity to have a meal in the restaurant.

Ended up at this hotel by chance due to car trouble. We were forced to stay for a few days. The receptionist (man with glasses) was friendly, fair, and trustworthy. And we haven't even mentioned the hotel itself yet! A very pleasant setting with history, amazing! Verry good experience, we will definitely be back.Couple from Holland♡

Everything about this family hôtel was perfect

Lovely place, complimentary fruit,snacks, teas and coffee. Great shower, room opened out to the garden.

Great hiking trails just outside the door😍

Perfect stay to relax and also be so close to San Sebastián.

The location is great and the history of the house is very interesting. Rooms are spacious. We had a great stay.

The view from the lounge is very green and calming. You can see the sea at Zarautz and 189 degrees across the hills. There's plenty of space for family and the kitchen is sufficiently equipped.

A beautiful location with splendid landscape

This is one of the most fun places Ive been. Its all really well organised here, every hour has some activities planned they take you on the beach every morning, bring you lunch to the beach, give you a good pointers where to surf and when best to go, take you back up from surf . Every night there are either activities outside the camp which are organised with other local businesses or inhouse games. They took us to cider house and san sebastian trip in big busees and all the staff is sumply the friedliest. I will be back here every year. Honeatly best vibes!

We had the most wonderful experience at Casa Rurale, a true hidden gem nestled in the hills. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm and genuine welcome by the ladies who live upstairs. What truly elevated the experience was Antxon, the owner, whose encyclopaedic knowledge of the surrounding flora and fauna—as a seasoned forest ranger—brought the landscape to life. His passion for the natural world is infectious, and we learned so much just walking the trails and listening to his fascinating insights. Every plant, bird and rock seemed to have a story! One of the highlights was being treated to a pot of home-cooked Basque Mamitoko. It was moments like these that made our stay feel so personal and special. If you’re looking for peace, beauty, and genuine human warmth, Casa Rurale is a perfect choice. A peaceful paradise tucked away from the world, where time slows down and nature wraps around you. We can’t wait to return.
