At the Communal Hotel in Telavi, the courtesy of the staff mirrors the elegance of the architecture and the delight of their food. The mix is memorable. The location is perfect: a short walk from the main monuments, but shielded from traffic. Walking in the street of the Communal immerses you in a different age. The guestlady was extremely nice, even if she was not there on my first day, she made sure I had everything I needed. She helped me find a driver to get me around the Kakheti region for some wine tastings, and also made me breakfast and left me some wine in the evening. The guesthouse is just amazing, so rich in history, quite spacious and with a great terrace.
